Content
Film, Television and Radio are just some of the Industries that make up the diverse and wide-ranging Creative Media Sector. Developing skills across different Media Industries can broaden employment opportunities and support collaborative projects that work across different mediums.This assignment will introduce you to a range of different pre-production and production skills that are required to design and produce radio, film, TV broadcast and interactive projects. The work that you produce during this assignment will be used to build an online professional portfolio that will showcase your knowledge, skills and aspirations. You must build a personalised blog to feature all research, pre-production and production work during each task.
Task 1: Your Blog Page (1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3)Using WordPress you must construct your own personalised blog page that will showcase all work produced during this assignment. The blog must contain the following:
A personalised theme, including titles, colours and images A network of ‘Pages’ to house your assignment outcomes A home page blog that discusses, reviews or analyses a media product relating to your
skills and ambitions.
You are expected to evidence all research, pre-production and production tasks within your blogs ‘page’ network. The blogs will be public sites that must appear to be professional, easy to navigate and clear demonstration of your personal skills.
Work showcased on your blog should include: A video clip of a television studio production An audio clip of a radio production Video clips of short film productions All theory, research and pre-production documentation used to support these productions.
Task 2: Production Diary (3.1, 3.2, 3.3)Critical reflection is essential to the development of your production skills. You are required to keep a production diary that describes and evaluates the different production roles that you will be assigned during each task. Practical sessions that involve the adoption of a production role must be reflected upon through a production diary entry that contains the following:
Images of you working within that production role. A description of the requirements of that production role. Thoughts on how you feel that you performed within this role. What did you do well?
Were there any areas for improvement? A summary of lecturer and peer feedback. A description of how you intend to improve and develop within this role. What personal
targets are you setting?
