Do you prefer water bottles or water pouches in the cafeteria?
Water Packets or Water Bottles?
As you all know, recess is right before lunch this year, and many kids are dripping with sweat as they come inside, and they would probably like some water at lunch. Last year it was easy to buy a water bottle in the lunch line. However, water bottles have been replaced with water packets. Our opinion on the change… It’s Awful. It is nearly impossible to open the packets without spilling it on yourself, and if I am being completely honest, I don’t even think that the water tastes like it does in normal water bottles. Now for the opinions of marlins around the school: Scarlett Sloan quoted ¨I do not like the water packets and they taste a lot like plastic . It is super hard to open without spilling it on yourself. If I were to choose between water packets and water bottles I would choose water bottles¨. Mrs Jimenez had the same opinion. She thinks that because the water packets can’t be refilled they are not environmentally friendly. Kids also need help opening them, and the packets are played with. As you can see marlins have mixed emotions on the new water packets, but if you are one of the people that dislike them, there is an easy solution. All you have to do is bring a regular water bottle from home. The Alvin ISD school district must agree with this article because as soon as the water packets run out water bottles will return!!!!!

Recently The Manvel Mavericks played The Katy Tigers, and about 2 days before the game Katy almost got disqualified from the playoffs because it was announced that Katy had a player that previously played for Katy 7 Lakes and then moved to Katy’s football team and was going to play at Katy in the same season! After the UIL had a meeting they did not disqualify katy from the playoffs, so the game was still on!
Now Katy has beat Manvel every time they have played them, but I truly thought Manvel had a chance this year.
