The Names Al-Qaadir, Al-Qadeer, Al-Muqtadir are nouns for the word Qadara, Yaqdiru,

Which have the following derivation and meaning:
The word Qadara, Yaqdur, Yaqdir means to be able, or have the power over
The noun is Maqdirah, Qudrahقدرة , مقدرة
Ability, Power
يقدر , , يقدر قدر
The word Qadr means: Estimation, value, worth, status or degree
E.g. Allah says in Surat al-Hajj (22:74):� و ه� ه� د� ق� ق� ق� ق �� ق ٱل ا� ر�و ق� ق� ق�ا
“They have not estimated Allâh His Rightful Estimate;”i.e. They did not magnify Allah His due Magnification
قدر , قدر
The word Qadr and Qadar also mean Decree and pre-ordainment i.e. What Allah
decrees or judges with.
E.g. Allah says in Surat al-Qadr (97:1):القدر ليلة في أنزلناه إنا
“Indeed, we sent it [i.e. the Quran] down during the Night of Decree.”
قدر , قدر
Qaddara, Yuqaddir, Taqdeer which meansTo determine or to estimate or to measure
something with something.
E.g. Allah says in Surat al-Fussilat (41:10): �� م ي��ا ي� ة ي� ي ر� ي� ى� ة� ي�ا ي� ي�ٲ ر� ي� ىا ي� ة�ي ي� ي�� ي� ي� ي�ا ة�ي ي� �ي �ـ ي ي�
“…and He blessed it, and measured therein its sustenance (for its dwellers)…”
E.g. Allah says in Surat al-Muzammil (73:20): � ي� ي�ا !� ي ي�ٱل ي$ ري �ل ي ٱ ر� د� ي' ر� ر) )� ي ي�ٱل
“…And Allâh measures the night and the day...”
Also has the meaning of decree.
, تقدير, يقدر قدر
The word Qadara Alaihi ash-Shaiy to restrict or to constrict upon him the thing.
E.g. Allah says in Surat al-Fajr (89:16) ه� ق� ـ� ق� ��ق �ى ب� ق� ر! ر#و ق$ ق% ۥ ر ق� د' ه� ه د$ ق� ق) ق� ق� ق# ق% ر ـ( ق� ق* د� ٱ ق�ا ق+� ه,� ىا �� ق ��ق قو
But when He tries him, by straitening his means of life, he says: "My Lord has humiliated me!"
E.g. Allah says in Surat Al-Isra (17:30) � ر� ه� د# ق. قو ر/ ىا ق0 ق. ق�1 هل ق2 د' ب3 ٱل ر4 ر5 د6 ق. ق7 �� ق ق� ق�8 ه,�
Truly, your Lord enlarges the provision for whom He wills and straitens (for whom He wills). Verily, He is Ever All-Knower, All-Seer of His slaves

anger, and imagined that We shall not punish him (i.e. the calamites which had befallen him)! But he cried through the darkness (saying): Lâ ilâha illa Anta [none has the right to be
worshipped but You (O Allâh)], Glorified (and Exalted) are You [above all that (evil) they associate with You]. Truly, I have
been of the wrong-doers."
