The Guild is a group of people committed to developing miniature craftsmanshipin the Cape Town area.
We aim to extend the hobby, to teach basic skills, to accumulate a library of
magazines, books, videos and dollhouse and furniture plans.
We are warm, generous people who help each other and share one another's joys
and frustrations.
The highlights of our year are undoubtedly our Miniatures Fair, held on the 1st
Saturday of September, and the annual Auction of Miniatures in March.
The Guild is open to anyone who is 16 years and older.
Meetings are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at 14:00 at The
Hobbies Club, Nursery Way, Pinelands.
Workshops are scheduled to precede each meeting and bookings for workshops
are on a first-come-first-serve basis during tea time, which follows the meeting.
We have a very large selection of Miniatures books and magazines in our library.
The Library is open for the borrowing of books and magazines, at the second
meeting of each month.
As well as full membership of the Guild, we also offer a "Friends of the Guild"
membership category for those who would like to keep in touch and receive our
newsletter, but are unable to attend regularly.
Friends of the Guild are not permitted to use the library, do not have voting rights,
but may attend 2 workshops in the course of the year
