Welcome to the Morgan Stanley Central Maryland Complex. It is with great pride that I invite you to meet our complex management team and Financial Advisors.

One of our primary objectives is to assemble a team of experienced, self-motivated, insightful Financial Advisors who are dedicated to the needs of their clients. While we believe that the professionals in our office are of the highest caliber, we continually seek to add talent and broaden our capabilities.

Culturally, the Central Maryland Complex values collaboration and entrepreneurship. We believe Financial Advisors thrive in our environment because integrity and professionalism are evident in every relationship, both within the office and with our clients. No less important, we are dedicated to promoting diversity, partnership and leadership.

Robert Meredith began his career in the financial services industry as a Global Cash Manager with the Trust Department of Mellon Bank. In 1995, Rob joined Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor in Pittsburg, Pa. and in 1999 was appointed Associate Vice President, Investments.

In 2000, Rob began his managerial career when he assumed the role of Sales Manager in Morgan Stanley’s Western Pennsylvania Complex. Rob and his family moved to Atlanta in Feb-ruary 2004 where he was appointed Vice President, Branch Manager of the Atlanta Galleria office.

In January 2006, Rob was named First Vice President, Branch Man-ager of Morgan Stanley’s Peachtree Dunwoody office.

Rob and his family returned to Pittsburgh in February 2008 when he was appointed Senior Vice President, Complex Manager for Western Penn-sylvania/Central Ohio. Upon successful completion of Morgan Stanley’s joint venture with Smith Barney in 2009, Rob

led the eight locations of The Greater Pittsburgh Complex.

In 2014, Rob was appointed as Executive Director, Complex Manager of Morgan Stanley’s Central Maryland Complex in Bethesda with 160 advi-sors in five office locations. In 2008 and 2010, Rob was named as one of America’s Top 100 Branch Mangers by On Wall Street magazine. Rob also has served as a member of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s National Manager Advisory Council.

A native West Virginian, Rob graduated in 1993 from West Virginia University with a B.S. in finance. Presently, Rob and his wife, Susan, reside in Bethesda with their two sons, Robby and Ryan.

Meet Our Management Team

Jonathon Hubbard is a native of Charlotte, N.C. and a graduate of Davidson College where he was a four-year letterman in football. After attending graduate school at the Babcock School of Management at Wake Forest University, Jonathon joined Wachovia Securities as the na-tional manager of the Financial Advisor Training Program in Palm Beach, Fla. As program manager he managed and developed over 150 financial advisors in Wachovia’s Investment Services Group.

In 2010, Jonathon returned to Charlotte, N.C. and became an invest-ment manager in the flagship Uptown Charlotte office of the Wells Fargo Private Bank.

In 2013, Jonathon and his family moved to St. Louis, Mo. where Jona-thon took another national role as busi-ness development manager and head of Experienced FA Sourcing for Wells Fargo Advisors. In this role, Jonathon developed and ran the firm’s sourcing strategy as well as key relationships with external vendors.

Fely J. CiezaVice PresidentComplex Business Development Manager

Fely Cieza joined Morgan Stanley in July 2014. She has over 25 years of financial services experience. Fely began her career at Lehman Brothers in equity research marketing, and subsequently moved on to PaineWebber in 1991. At PaineWebber, she held a succession of progressively responsible positions in sales and marketing and asset man-agement sales. After the acquisition of PaineWebber by UBS, Fely was named national sales manager for the securi-tized lending group.

Fely is a native New Yorker. She holds a B.A. in American history and journal-ism from New York University.

Prior to becoming Associate Complex Manager in Morgan Stanley’s Central Maryland Complex, Jonathon man-aged a team of financial advisors that focused on Wells Fargo Advisors Mass Affluent and Emerging Affluent book of business.

Jonathon now resides in Rockville with his wife, Jocelynn, son, Jace, and daughter, Kobi Anne.

Rhonda L. ViapianoExecutive DirectorBranch Manager

With 30 years of experience in the Wealth Management industry, Rhonda Viapiano is currently the Branch Manager of the Bethesda Morgan Stanley office located at 7500 Old Georgetown Road.

Prior to this role, she spent three years with JP Morgan’s Private Bank as a senior private banker. Before join-ing JP Morgan, she was with UBS/PaineWebber for 19 years in a variety of roles, including as assistant branch manager of the New York City Private Wealth Management office.

Additionally, Rhonda served as head of Client Reporting, as regional sales manager for the Mountain Region, as-sociate national sales manager and head of Taxable Fixed Income Strategy.

Rhonda began her career at Drexel Burnham Lambert in Taxable Fixed In-come sales, and later joined Smith Barney Harris Upham as a registered sales as-sociate. Rhonda has a B.A. in marketing from Fairfield University and an MBA from Fordham University.

John Allen CFP®, CIMA®Senior Vice PresidentBranch Manager

John grew up on the Choptank River in Cambridge on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. He graduated from East Carolina University where he played football for the Pirates while earning a degree in finance/investments. John started his wealth management career with Mer-rill Lynch in 1993 as an unpaid intern in Greenville, N.C. He spent the next 18 years in several offices (Greenville, N.C., Salisbury, Md., and Ocean City Md.) as a financial advisor, financial advisor in charge, resident director and senior resident director in Columbia, Md. for BofA/Merrill Lynch (2008-2011). John joined Morgan Stanley in 2011 as Branch Manager of the Annapolis West St. office and has been the Branch Manager in Columbia, Md. since July of last year. John earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 2002 and the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designa-tion in 2005. John is actively involved in several community organizations

including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Maryland, Centennial High School Boosters, Salisbury University – Perdue School of Business, and East Carolina University. John currently resides in Ellicott City with his wife of 19 years, Josephine, and their three daughters – Emily (16), Camryn (15) and Sarah (12). When away from work and not watching his girls play softball or volleyball (a rare occurrence), John enjoys fishing and other outdoor activi-ties with family and friend.

Timothy Kane, a native of Simsbury, Conn.; has been a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley and legacy companies since August 2009. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Tim was a four-year letterman in men’s golf. Tim has been a member of Morgan Stanley’s Pacesetter’s Club consistently since 2001. As Branch Manager of Central Mary-land’s Park Potomac Branch, Tim also serves as Tournament Director for the American Junior Golf Association and is a member of the University of Maryland’s Terrapin Club.

Timothy KaneVice President Producing Branch Manager

Rob Tinsley grew up in Tidewater, Va. and Montgomery County, Md. He earned a Bachelor of Science, with a minor in economics from the College of Wil-liam and Mary in 1993, where he was a four-year letterman in football. Rob also received a Master of Science from the University of Georgia in 1995.

Rob has been a producer with the firm since 1998. Rob focuses on vari-ous planning-related issues for clients including: retirement income plan-ning, estate planning, long-term care and life insurance planning, as well as full-service asset allocation and investment management.

He earned the Certified Financial Planner designation in 2001, and be-came Branch Manager of the Frederick Branch in June 2013.

Rob is also a member of the Rock Creek Council of the Knights of Co-lumbus, and volunteer coach with the Maplewood Youth Football Association.

For the past 16 years, Rob has made his home in Kensington, Md. with his wife of 18 years and three children.
