LETTER FROM OUR PASTOR Dear Parishioners,

The Feast Day of the Holy Trinity is not easy to get all

excited about. It's easy to get excited about Christmas

.and about Easter. Somehow, we feel that we can relate

to those wonderful mysteries of our faith. But the

doctrine of the Trinity is not so easy to relate to. With

this doctrine, God has revealed to us that he is not

infinite loneliness, but infinite love, infinite relationship

of self-giving. The one divine nature exists fully and

simultaneously in three divine Persons, the Father, the

Son, and the Holy Spirit. Sometimes we catch a glimpse

of how wonderful this doctrine really is, but even so, it

still seems kind of abstract, something for theologians to

ponder, something impractical for everyday Christians.

But that is a false impression. The Trinity is actually the

most practical of all Christian doctrines, because it

reveals the meaning of our life.

We are created in God's image. And God, in the very

essence of his being, is self-forgetful love, a harmonious

relationship in which the three divine Persons are

knowing each other and giving to each other. God's

eternal, dynamic happiness flows from that communion

of love. And so, our happiness, since we are created in

his image, will flow from the same thing, from our freely

choosing to use our God-given gifts - life, talents,

resources - to build up those around us. This is what we

are created to be and to do, and only in this will we find

the happiness we long for. The meaning of life is for us to

choose every day, in the little things and the big things,

to be better and better mirrors of the Trinity. God wants

us to get to know him, because he knows that the

happiness we long for can only come from living in

friendship with him. When we experience stress, anxiety,

exhaustion, and depression, it can be a sign that we have

lost touch with God's Word, that we have lost sight of his

goodness, that we aren't taking good care of this

friendship.

Daily prayer, both as individuals and as families;

reflective reading of the sacred Scriptures; regular and

faith-filled reception of the sacraments, especially the

Eucharist and confession: these are the most important

ways to stay in touch, to continue letting God speak to

our hearts and reveal himself to us. But today's Psalm

also reminds us of another way.

It tells us that "By the word of the Lord the heavens were

made..." In other words, all of God's creation is, in some

sense, a revelation, just as the works of an artist are a

window into his personality. In the wonders of nature

God is whispering to our hearts, inviting us to admire his

goodness and to fall in love with his beauty.

CARTA DE NUESTRO PÁRROCO Queridos Feligreses, La fiesta de la Santísima Trinidad no es fácil entusiasmarse con ella. Es más fácil entusiasmarse con la Navidad y la Pascua. De alguna manera, sentimos que nos podemos relacionar más con esos maravillosos misterios de nuestra fe. Pero no es tan fácil relacionarse con la doctrina de la Trinidad. Con esta doctrina, Dios nos ha revelado que él no está en una soledad infinita, pero si en un amor infinito, y una infinita relación de entrega. La naturaleza divina existe completamente y simultáneamente en tres divinas personas, padre, hijo y Espíritu Santo. A veces nos atrae el ver cuán maravillosa es realmente esta doctrina, pero, aun así, todavía parece un resumen, algo solo para reflexión de teólogos, algo poco práctico para los cristianos de todos los días. Pero eso es una falsa impresión. La Trinidad es en realidad la más práctica de todas las doctrinas cristianas, porque revela el sentido de nuestra vida. Nosotros somos creados a imagen de Dios. Y Dios, en la esencia de su amor incondicional, es una relación armoniosa en la que las tres divinas personas se conocen y se dan el uno al otro. La eterna felicidad fluye de esa comunión de amor. El significado de la vida es para que nosotros podamos elegir día a día, en las cosas pequeñas y grandes, ser mejores y mejores espejos de la Trinidad. Dios quiere llegar a conocernos, porque sabe que la felicidad que anhelamos sólo puede venir de vivir en amistad con él. Cuando experimentamos estrés, ansiedad, agotamiento y depresión, puede ser una señal de que hemos perdido contacto con la palabra de Dios, que hemos perdido de vista su bondad, y no estamos teniendo buen cuidado de esta amistad. La Oración diaria, como individuos y como familias; En la reflexión de las Sagradas Escrituras; En la recepción de los sacramentos regular y llenos de fe, especialmente la Eucaristía y la confesión: estas son las formas más importantes para mantenerse en contacto, dejando que Dios hable a nuestros corazones y se revele a nosotros. Pero el Salmo de hoy también nos lo recuerda de otra manera. Nos dice que "por la palabra de Dios los cielos se hicieron..." En otras palabras, toda la creación de Dios es,

en cierto sentido, es una revelación, así como las obras de un artista son una ventana a su personalidad. En las maravillas de la naturaleza Dios está susurrando a nuestros corazones, nos invita a contemplar su bondad y a enamorarnos de su belleza. Que Dios te bendiga, Padre Dan

Fiesta de la Santísima Trinidad Para que recordemos la generosidad de las generaciones pasadas que construyeron nuestra Iglesia y continuemos siendo generosos para las generaciones futuras. "El Espíritu mismo da testimonio con nuestro espíritu de que somos hijos de Dios, y si somos hijos, entonces herederos, herederos de Dios y coherederos con Cristo ..." - Romanos 8:16-17 Si somos herederos del reino de Dios, ¿no deberíamos trabajar para edificar su reino? ¿No deberíamos ser buenos mayordomos de nuestra herencia, utilizando nuestro tiempo en la oración, nuestro talento en obras de caridad y nuestro tesoro para cuidar de la Iglesia que Dios nos ha dejado? Nuestra Iglesia es un tesoro preciado de Dios. ¿Lo tratamos de esa manera?

ORACION A LA SANTISIMA TRINIDAD- Te adoro, Santísima

Trinidad, Padre, Hijo y Espíritu Santo, tres personas y un solo Dios. Me postro en el abismo de mi nada ante tu divina majestad. Creo firmemente y estoy dispuesto a dar la vida en testimonio de todo lo que nos ha revelado en la Sagrada Escritura y de los misterios que por medio de tu Iglesia nos has manifestado. En ti deposito mi confianza; y de tu mano, Dios mío, vida única, esperanza mía, deseo, espero y quiero recibir todos los bienes, espirituales o corporales, que pueda alcanzar en esta vida o en la otra. Desde hoy y para siempre te consagro mi cuerpo y mi alma, todas mis potencias, la memoria, el entendimiento, la voluntad y todos mis sentidos. Te prometo no consentir jamás, en cuanto esté de mi parte, en que se infiera la más mínima ofensa a tu divina majestad. Propongo firmemente dedicar toda mi existencia, mis facultades y energías, a tu servicio y gloria. Estoy dispuesto a sobrellevar ludas las adversidades que tu mano paternal quiera imponerme para dar gusto a tu corazón. Quisiera esforzarme con todo mi ser, para que todos sirvan, glorifiquen y amen a Dios su Creador. Me gozo intensamente de tu eterna felicidad, y me siento jubiloso por tu gran gloria en el cielo y en la tierra. Te doy infinitas gracias por los innumerables beneficios concedidos, a mi y al mundo entero, y por los que continuamente, (día tras día, concede tu benigna providencia. A tu divina majestad, en unión de los méritos de la pasión, vida y muerte de Cristo, de la bienaventurada siempre Virgen y de todos los santos, ofrezco desde ahora para siempre todas mis obras, purificadas por la preciosísima sangre de nuestro Redentor Jesús. Quiero participar, en lo posible, de las indulgencias obtenidas por medio de las oraciones y obras, y deseo aplicarlas como sufragio por las almas del purgatorio. Quiero también ofrecer, en la medida de mis fuerzas satisfacción y penitencia por todos mis pecados. Dios mío, siendo tú infinitamente digno de todo amor y servicio, por ser quién eres: me arrepiento de todo corazón de mis pecados, y los detesto más que todos los males, puesto que tanto te desagradan a ti. Dios mío, a quien amo sobre todas las cosas: te pido humildemente perdón, y hago firme propósito de nunca ofender a tu divina bondad.
