The Nature ofDidimoteicho

Winter time…

Didimoteicho is a flat area which is surrounded by small hills!

This period of year trees of these hills are frozen thanks to the cold weather!

Spring time…

Rivers

There are two rivers in our area, which are very important for the residents

The one is called Evros and it is the borderline between Greece and Turkey

The other river is actually a small branch of Evros It is called Erithropotamos In English it is translated as Red river

Forest

Didimoticho has a pine-tree forest.

It is a beautiful place for relaxing

Every weekend many families use to go there for picnics or for doing sports, walks or other activities!

All in all, this place give local people a chance for a wonderful panoramic view of the town!
