Exodus House OKC is very excited about all the things we are working to accomplish this year and taking pride in those we achieved last year. We currently have served 17 residents this year and have graduated Rance Childs and Jonathon Avilla with 3 more graduating in a few weeks and 9 having their driver’s licenses reinstated. We are happy to report that we have sent 10 into our 2nd Chance Aftercare program. Nine residents remain there and continue to be engaged with our program and are doing very well. There have been 10 Affirmations of Faith and more to come. We are excited about the growth of our program and the many new connections we are making, including employment opportunities with Work Ready, TEEM, MD Manufacturing and UniFirst . We want to thank all of you that make it possible as well as OCU Students who have been helping our residents with resume writing, daycare for our meetings and to each of our apartment sponsors: New Covenant UMC, Choctaw UMC, Yukon UMC/UMM, Seminole UMC, First UMC Edmond, New Hope UMC, St. Andrews, Wesley UMC and Church of the Servant. We would like to thank each of you for your donations, your time, your service and your prayers. Special thanks to our Adult & Youth Work Groups who have come recently: OCU Youth, Blanchard UMC, New Covenant UMC and First UMC Edmond.

We have been honored to purchase a new 2014 Dodge Caravan and want to thank all the donors who made that possible. We are so amazingly blessed by all those who give to support our ministry. We also thank Earthglow Mission for your generous donation. I enjoyed meeting each of you ladies and showing you around. We invite anyone who would like to volunteer their time, donate, take a tour or to have us come speak to your congregation or a Sunday School Class to call us and let us share our story, our mission and our vision for the future. We continue to need all household and furniture donations, linens, towels, hygiene products for men and women, microwaves, coffee pots and big furniture items. ——Director Robin Wertz, C.M., CPRSS --------------------(405)-525-2300 -——Tony Altizer, Facility Manager (Donations) ----------- (405)-417-1189

SPRING 2019

TULSA REDEMPTION MISSION

TULSA EXODUS HOUSE Welcome Spring! With spring comes new growth for us all. Exodus House and the Parsonage House are growing in many new areas. We have been blessed with the presence of Exodus House OKC Facility Manager , Tony Altizer who has helped get vehicles repaired and also some much needed maintenance done on both properties. We have graduated Dustin, Rafael, Susan, Amber and Kathy all this past fall. Such a wonderful celebration of lives and new beginnings. Thanks to so many sponsors and churches plus so many people who donate to our ministry. We are transitioning lives as we teach ourselves how to transition from St. Luke’s building to our new place of worship at Centenary UMC beginning on April 1, 2019. We are all excited to see how God will unfold this beautiful enmeshing of us with them into a WE of togetherness — for the good of all. God’s Peace and Serenity on us one and all. TULSA CJAMM ANNUAL DINNER

Congratulations to our newest DOC trained volunteers: Kadesh King, Gina Ritchie, Jay Maharaj and Quinton Hunter. It is a joy to have each of you sharing God’s love and grace with those we minister to daily. Thank you for answering the call. We also congratulate Dan Thayer, Roger Marchand, Eugene Lawson, Tamara Wright and Rob Wright for renewing their training. Each of you makes a difference in the lives of those we are called to walk God’s path with. Thank you! We are so thankful to all who support the ministry of Redemption Church OKC! Thank you for you for the clothes for men and women that are so needed. Our closet offers clothes to the incarcerated, not only those we bring to church but to those case managers who contact us. We also serve people leaving County Jail programs as well as the marginalized citizens of our area. Thank you all for keeping us supplied with such an excellent selection of clean, gently used wearables for those God brings through our doors. We appreciate you and your generosity! Thank you for the food donations that help us feed those who come hungry. We feed approximately 150 people each Sunday. We have men, women and families who come to the door that have not eaten in a few days. We have those whose income is not quite enough to feed their families. What a blessing it is to be able, because of your generosity, to fill a person’s tummy. Thank you so much! Thank you so much for your financial support which allows us to continue serving God’s people. Thank you New People New Places, Earthglow Mission from Church of the Servant, the Church of the Servant Choir, Mary Martha Circle from Chapel Hill, Sonrisa Nowicki of the Homeless Alliance, Margie Bagley, Jones UMC, Cups of Love: Tammy Cobble of Newcastle UMC, Sister Barbara Joseph, Butch and Rose Sewell from Sr. B.J.’s Pantry for all you do! You are a blessing to this ministry! We could not do all we do without our faithful volunteers and donors. Please consider yourself hugged! Thank you to all who have supported our non-profit coffee company, Red River Roasters. Red River Roasters has been created to empower those transitioning out of incarceration with employment opportunities. Your coffee purchases have made the continuation of our mission possible. We are currently looking for other avenues, such as church bazaars, craft fairs and other mission minded opportunities to promote Red River’s worthy mission. If you have an opportunity available please call Crystal King at 405.604.0362. We are all excited about the growth in our Children’s program. Crystal King and Lori Van Dyke lead the children in lessons through story, laughter and love for Children’s Church. We have an average of 20 children of all ages, on Sunday morning, while our congregation looks forward to the lesson brought each week! We have approximately 6 youth in our Youth Group and our Nursery seems to be full each Sunday! We are so excited about our first Confirmation Class for our youth. It is going so well with the young ones being very excited about what they are learning ~ and they are asking a lot of questions! How exciting to hear the children talk about Scripture and why was “this” said and what does that mean, and I want to be baptized! Thank you Mary Martha Circle from Chapel Hill UMC for your love and support of our discipling the young ones! You are such a blessing! We are in need of sturdy chairs for our fellowship hall. The ones we have are breaking and the way they break they are not always fixable. Thank you! Thank you to our incredible volunteers! You bring your hearts, hands, feet and talents. Thank you, each of you, for being such a very special part of God’s Redemption village. Please consider yourselves hugged! Thank you to each one who supports Redemption ministry in any way. This very special ministry does not happen on its’ own! It takes a village, so to speak! THANK YOU for being such a valuable, special resident of God’s village! God’s blessings, Marcia Manning

On February 19, 2019, Tulsa CJAMM held its Annual Dinner at Boston Avenue UMC. There was a great turnout despite the cold, dreary weather. Testimonies were shared by James Deel and Virginia Walkup, both successful graduates of Exodus House Tulsa. Dinner was catered by Elote. We are grateful to all who attended and help make this evening a success.
