Cold Weather ConcreteAnother benefit of using ICFs was the ability to continue construction and place concrete during the cold winter months in Minnesota.

Thermometer embedded in the concrete during curing= 100 degrees.

Temperature outside = 19 degrees

Ready for Fall SemesterLet the floor and dorm room competitions begin! All green features are projected to reduce all energy use by 28%. Energy use monitors are installed and can track usage for every single room, for all 280 residents. Dorms will be able to track water use, electrical use, and steam consumption which is used to heat the buildings.

Dorms are 52,160 sq. ft. & 39,376 sq ft. with a total of 56 double-occupancy rooms & 26 single occupancy rooms, with 21 suites and 9 full kitchens
