Reynolds Plantation is pleased to welcome the return of spring to the Lake Oconee region. All around the community, hundreds of thousands of trees and shrubs have awakened from their wintery slumber, brightening the scenery with vivid colors and making for some amazing photo opportunities. This is also the season for

hosting hundreds of visitors; both those making the annual pilgrimage to the Masters Tournament and those exploring real estate opportunities at Reynolds Plantation. Speaking of real estate, building activity continues at a healthy pace, with approximately 70 houses currently under construction and an average of one new project beginning every six days. In response to the increased activity, we are pleased to introduce two new Signature Home models located on Mill Creek. Combined with the Design Studio, these professionally-decorated model homes will help prospective buyers and current homesite owners envision their own Reynolds Plantation dream homes. As the year progresses, look for the introduction of additional villa and cottage homesites at The Landing and a limited release of new premium lakefront homesites at Horseshoe Bend. Based upon the success of recent releases in these areas and the current level of sales activity, interest in these offerings is anticipated to be high. Finally, I cannot fail to mention the exciting work at the National Village. The first two of three buildings – the Golf House and Stables (cart storage facility) – are anticipated to open in time for Masters Week. The third component of the campus – the Tavern – is well underway and expected to open later this year. I look forward to seeing members and guests enjoying these innovative new facilities for decades to come. Looking forward to the traditional Easter Egg Hunt at Plantation Commons, I am reminded that spring is a season of rebirth and renewal. From brilliant flowering trees, to the return of Masters Week, to the increase in building activity, it is exciting to experience the renewed sense of enthusiasm and energy throughout our community.

Building on the momentum from last year, sales got off to a very positive start in the first quarter at Reynolds Plantation Properties. We were specifically encouraged by a remarkably strong level of activity in January, which is traditionally a slower month. Sales leads year-to-date are up around 10% over last year, largely fueled by an ongoing campaign of regional and national advertising. In addition, Reynolds Plantation Properties sent teams to several real estate trade shows in the first quarter, including New Jersey, Illinois, Connecticut, Michigan and the DC metro area. Here our sales and marketing representatives met face-to-face with hundreds of prospective buyers actively in the process of moving South – many specifically considering highly-amenitized communities like Reynolds Plantation. Looking at real estate tours our agents have already booked, we are enthusiastic about our spring selling season. The customers now visiting are a combination of people just beginning to learn about Reynolds Plantation, and repeat guests taking a harder look and ready to move forward. We were pleased to recently welcome two new agents to the Reynolds Plantation Properties team; Chip Perry and Levi Weisser. Both are experienced agents who have been very successful selling in other resort markets and are excited to join our award-winning team of real estate professionals. I believe 2015 should be an extremely productive year for real estate at Reynolds Plantation. New property releases are expected to include a limited number of outstanding plantation, golf and lakefront homesites, and some very attractive structure products as well. Whether you are considering buying or selling a property inside the gates, our team is eager to assist you in any way possible. Please stop by any of the four sales office locations or give us a call at 800.800.5250.

Best regards,

With a collection of past show homes that includes two Southern Living Idea Houses, the first-ever Golf Magazine Dream Home, Golf Digest Signature Home, Southern Accents Showhouse and a host of others, Reynolds Plantation has earned its reputation as “The Home of Ultimate Dream Homes.” So when the Reynolds Plantation Signature Home team set-out to build its first new showcase models in more than

five years, expectations were exceptionally high. “We knew that we needed to produce homes that took full advantage of all that we have learned about design and construction over the last two decades,” said Glenn Winslette, vice president of development. “But we also wanted these homes to establish a completely fresh perspective that reflected contemporary living and the casually elegant lifestyle that our members enjoy here every day.”

By combining a magnificent golf-front setting with inspired architectural elements and engaging some of the top building and interior design experts in the field, Winslette and his team succeeded in their mission. The result is a pair of exquisite new model homes now open daily for tours on Mill Creek. Positioned atop a wooded hillside overlooking the tees and Signature split fairway of the Creek Club golf course’s #5 hole, the homes are a study in balance between timeless design and contemporary features. The first model, built by Camden Homes, greets visitors with classic dormers, traditional lap siding and tasteful stone accents. A natural wood pergola spans the twin garage doors, echoing the hearty columns that frame the entryway and creates a strong visual statement that is at once clean and inviting. Inside, the 3,700-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath home is intimate in scale, but has an open, airy character. This is created by vertical lines, elevated ceilings, eight-foot interior doors and clerestory windows that flood the main living space with warm, natural light. Hardwood floors, premium tile, granite and cabinet upgrades throughout the

home underscore the sense of quality in design and craftsmanship. Thoughtful additions like a butler’s pantry and home office space are sure to wow visitors. Weinberger’s Furniture and Mattress Showcase provided the furnishings, accessories and the services of design consultant Michael Berry. “The interior of this home was influenced by both the beautiful golf course views and the home’s unique architectural design,” says Berry, who drew many of the colors and textures used from the surrounding landscape. “We aspired to make the home elegant yet casual with a feeling that would appeal to both young couples and empty nesters.” Located immediately next door, a second, somewhat larger model home – built by Jones & Jones Premier Builders – offers an equally-attractive front elevation, but with more pronounced rooflines, shake siding accents and more traditional columns flanking the double front doors. The unique design seamlessly blends classic architectural elements with a modern, laid-back charm. The heart of this four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bath home is the aptly-named “great room,” with soaring ceilings accentuated by vast windows that perfectly frame the magnificent golf course views. The dazzling gourmet kitchen, featuring Wolf appliances, premium cabinets and top-quality granite countertops, is sure to be a popular gathering point of the home’s eventual residents. Just outside, an expansive open-air living space – complete with a rustic stone-clad fireplace – beckons visitors to relax outdoors in all seasons. Alicia Mooney provided the vision for the home’s interior. “The home’s furnishings feature very simple lines with a mix of warm and cool finishes and colors,” said Mooney.

“I wanted the furniture to be comfortable yet sophisticated.” With such fantastic vistas outside the home, Mooney had to seek a delicate balance in her selections. “I made sure all window coverings were light and did not block the sight lines. I also put a lot of thought into the outdoor living spaces, making them comfortable and inviting, but without distracting views.” Andy Anderson, director of design at Hug & Associates, and contributor to both homes summed-up the project’s vision best. “Homes are more than just shelter. They are the backdrop against which people live their lives. We strive to keep this in mind with every assignment we’re involved with and create designs that ultimately inspire people to dream about how they aspire to live.” Through exhibiting exceptional design, superior craftsmanship and outstanding attention to detail, the new Signature Home Model Center at Mill Creek may just inspire you to build your own Reynolds Plantation dream home. SCREENING FOR ABDOMINAL AORTIC ANEURYSMSWEDNESDAY, APRIL 15Dr. Jeffrey Pearce, Athens Vascular Specialists5:00 p.m. Reception5:30 p.m. PresentationLake Club Ballroom

Guest speaker Jim Craig is the National Spokesperson for the Ultimate SAAAVE campaign, a public awareness initiative that encourages those with risk factors for an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm to receive a quick and painless screening. Mr. Craig is best remembered for his outstanding goaltending in the 1980 Winter Olympics where the U.S. ice hockey team beat the heavily favored Russians and went on to win the Olympic gold medal. About eight years afterwards, Jim Craig’s father died from a burst Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm. Out of respect for this important topic, Mr. Craig requests that guests not request autographs but rather engage in the final Q&A regarding these aneurysms which are the 13th leading cause of death annually in the U.S.

Guest speaker Dr. Pearce is an active member of the medical staff at Athens Regional Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital, and an active member in many leading medical organizations, including the American College of Surgeons, Peripheral Vascular Surgery Society, Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Vascular Ultrasound and the Southeastern Surgical Congress. His practice interests include complex aortic and peripheral vascular reconstruction for aneurysm and occlusive disease, carotid disease, varicose vein disease and hemodialysis access.

Members introducing their friends to Reynolds Plantation is a Club tradition that spans more than a quarter century.

Hundreds of current members first learned about the community from other members who decided to share their little piece of paradise with the people they admire most. Jim Joel did so, and as a result, when he and his college fraternity brothers get together for a round of golf, there aren’t a lot of travel arrangements necessary. With some of his closest friends living within the same community, it’s just a few phone calls, some quick calendar checking and then a few practice swings on the range. But these unofficial Sigma Nu reunions certainly weren’t always as easy to orchestrate. It all started around eighteen years ago when Joel had a group of his dearest friends down from his home state of West Virginia: Mike and Jane Carroll, Fred Rine, Doc Lykins, Pidge Goodrich and Ed DeStefano. The group were all students at West Virginia University and each of the guys pledged Sigma Nu together. Joel, who bought a vacation home at Reynolds in 1994 and moved to the community full time from Atlanta in 2001, reunited the gang for his 50th birthday party. Along with family and other friends, they rented cottages over the Memorial Day weekend, played a ton of golf and “just had the best time,” Joel says. “The golf courses were great – we had only two at that time, the Plantation and Great Waters – and it was just so beautiful. Everyone fell in love with the place. So I asked the guys if they wanted to make it an annual event to meet up here at Reynolds Plantation.” Carroll didn’t need an invitation; he quickly bought a lakefront homesite at Reynolds Plantation where he and his wife Janie currently live. By the next year, Rine bought a homesite, and Lykins, Goodrich and DeStefano soon followed suit. Although two members of the group have since moved to be closer to their children and grandchildren, Carroll, Rine, Lykins and Joel still live at Reynolds Plantation. To make things easier, the five chums all happened to know a great builder. Joel, who has built custom homes for over 35 years, worked with each of his friends that built at Reynolds Plantation. “We are all still very close,” Joel said. “We play a lot of golf together. We all love the place.” Joel and wife Cindy are in their third home, now living along the water near the Creek Club. Originally from Wheeling, W.V., Joel graduated with a degree in marketing from WVU in 1969. He originally sold accounting machines and then transitioned into the computer sales industry. Wanting to “do something on my own,” Joel pursued the real estate business, buying a Re/Max franchise and moving from West Virginia to Atlanta in 1973. In 1982 he started a construction firm specializing in building in upscale Atlanta country club commu-nities, which continues to be the lifeblood of the company, now run by his son Matt. The Joels like to travel, too – as long as there’s golf at the destination. But Joel admits that he’s getting spoiled, finding himself wondering why he is paying to stay somewhere not as nice as his Reynolds Plantation home and play courses not as good as those in his backyard. “I tell Cindy, ‘If it’s better than here, sign me up. If not, I am staying home,’” Joel says.
