STATE-ARMY-AIR-FOCE COORDINATING COMMITTEE
MEMORANDUM FOR HOLDERS
Note by Secretariat
1. The attached revised numerical index of SWNCC papers is furnished for
ready reference and as a guide for the preparation by agencies of a SWNCC (SANACC) policy book. The revision supersedes the numerical index dated 1 September 1947.
2. Where an FEC reference appears following items marked ** (Interim U.S. Policy) in the “DATE APPROVED” column, it indicates the serial number JCS Directive to SCAP which has been furnished the Far Eastern Commission under paragraph4, Section III, of its terms of reference. Where an FEC reference is used and marked XXX, FEC Policy applies or U.S. policy has been superseded by FEC Policy.
3. During periods between revisions of this index by the Secretariat, holders are requested to post pertinent information when papers are issued and approvals of papers are announced. This volume contains 127 [in the original] pages.
4. Holders of numerical index dated 1 September 1947 are requested to destroy all pages thereof by burning. LEGEND: * - Paper number in parenthesis denotes approved or superseding paper
which completed action on this item. ** - Indicates approved paper which should be used by holders in the
complication of SWNCC policy book. FEC 87 - Indicates number assigned by JCS to Directive issued to SCAP and filed
with FEC under paragraph III, 4 of the Terms of Reference of that Commission.
