Being perfect once is reason enough to celebrate but three times

in a row? ...that’s reason enough for everyone to celebrate YOU!

The Landover Production Plant recently completed their IPIA

PIQCS Plus audit and received a perfect score…FOR THE THIRD

TIME IN A ROW! SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!!!

Reddy Ice developed and implemented our Food Safety Plan in the

Fall of 2016 in response to FDA mandated changes for all food

processors that come under the Food Safety Modernization Act.

These stricter requirements have been problematic for some but

obviously not the Landover plant. They had already established a

true dedication to quality, food safety, and food defense at their

plant based on their 2016 audit result. What they have done here

is proven that their commitment to those values has not wavered

a bit in 2017, having received perfect audit scores twice more since

the FSP’s implementation even though regulatory compliance

requirements have increased tremendously.

At each annual meeting of our member association, the International Packaged Ice Association (IPIA) presents awards in recognition of

member ice companies’ efforts leading to perfect audit scores. We’re anxious to see and hear (and will report back to all of you) about the

IPIA’s recognition of the fantastic results from Landover.

When discussing this achievement with Landover Plant Manager, John Kaendera, he was quick to direct attention away from himself and

instead focus that praise onto his team, citing them as the reason why Landover was able to accomplish this feat three times over. We are

certainly in agreement with John but want to include him in the well-deserved praise for the entire Food Safety Team at Landover. We’re

looking forward to 2019 when you receive your 4th perfect score in a row!

Are you turning 50 this year, or have you already reached this milestone? Congratulations! You’ll want to enjoy this phase of life in style — and also make sure you may have enough saved to live well in retirement.

Save beyond the regular annual limit

Start making catch-up contributions as soon as you can during the year so you can spread them out evenly over your paychecks. You’re eligible on January 1 of the year you turn 50, no matter how late in the year your birthday falls.

Telogis is a program on all driver phones that tracks how they’re driving and grades them based on their safety levels.
