Applications
Dry blastingInthisprocess,theworkpieceisblowdriedwithasidechannelblower.Theflowvolumeandpressureoftheairstreamarecriticalforthedegreeofdryness.Thetemperatureoftheairstreamalsocontributes totheeffectivenessofthedryingprocess.
Vacuum dryingWithvacuumdrying,difficultspotssuchasblindboreholes,narrowlubricationchannelsandeveninternalpassagewayscanbedriedcompletely,withnoresidualwaterremaininginvoidsorunevensurfaces.
Inthisprocess,avacuumiscreatedinthewashingchamber. Whenthepressuredropsbelowthatofthevaporpressureofthe fluidtoberemoved,thefluidevaporatesandthepartsaredried.
Most of the vapor removed is trapped in a condensate separator upstreamofthevacuumpump.Theresidualvaporintheairiseliminatedbythevacuumpump.Dependingonhowdirtythepartsare,awaterorsolventbaseddetergentisemployed.InsomecasesATEXapprovedvacuumpumpsarerequiredforsolventbaseddetergents,whichmaybeexplosiveinnature.
Flood injection washing under vacuumInthisprocess,theairisfirstevacuatedfromthewashingchamber. Apressurizedinjectionfluidwash(16bar)alsocleanshiddenhollowpassagesandundercuts.
De-oiling under vacuumInthisprocess,thecomponentstobecleanedareplacedinavacuumchamberandheatedbyradiantheaters.Theprocesstemperatureandpressure are adjusted so that any contamination on the components isvaporized.
