C Praise be to God, now and forevermore!

Entrance Hymn 796 How Firm a Foundation FOUNDATION

Confession and Forgiveness P Blessed be the holy Trinity, one God, who stretches out the heavens, who sends light to the nations, who

gives breath to us all. C Amen.

P Let us confess our sin in the presence of God and of one another.

Leader sings first time; Congregation joins second time

P Loving God, C we confess that we have turned from your way to follow our own ways. Forgive us for the times we

have spoken or acted too quickly; we have not spoken or acted at all; we have hurt those closest to us; we have hurt those we have yet to know; we have thought more about ourselves than others; we have thought less of ourselves than we ought. Turn us around, and give us a fresh start, so that we can live again as your children. Amen.

P Even when we have done wrong, God makes us right. Even when we have messed up, God puts us together. God’s love never runs out. God never tires of calling us beloved children. Hear God say to you now: Your sins are forgiven, for the sake of Jesus Christ our Savior.

C Amen.

Greeting P The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

C And also with you.

Meal

Offering All “Faithful Ones” offering received during the month of February will support Family Gateway. The mission of Family Gateway is to provide stability and life-changing supportive services to children and families affected by homelessness. Family Gateway uses a two-generation approach to support its families by concurrently working with the adults and the children in the family to help them along the path to self-sufficiency. Interventions provided include assessment and diversion, emergency shelter and supportive housing (through DHA vouchers and a permanent supportive housing program), comprehensive case management, adult and children's services and an education program. If you wish to offer additional funds for this ministry, please use an envelope which may be found in the Narthex. Checks should be made out to King of Glory with “Faithful Ones” in the memo.

Jesus, Lover of My Soul Joseph Parry; John Adams, arr. Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to Thy bosom fly, while the nearer waters roll, while the tempest still is high. Hide me, O my Savior, hide, till the storm of life is past; safe into the haven guide; oh, receive my soul at last. Other refuge have I none, hangs my helpless soul on Thee; leave, ah! leave me not alone, still support and comfort me. All my trust on Thee is stayed, all my help from Thee I bring; cover my defenseless head with the shadow of Thy wing. Plenteous grace with Thee is found, grace to cover all my sin; let the healing streams abound; make and keep me pure within. Thou of life the fountain art, freely let me take of Thee; spring Thou up within my heart; rise to all eternity. Charles Wesley

Lord’s Prayer C Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be

done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

The congregation may be seated.

If you would prefer not to receive wine, simply request white grape juice when served. Gluten-free wafers may also be requested. Children and adults not communing are invited to come forward for a word of blessing. Open hands show you wish to
