Annual Conference Mission Offering

This year’s mission offering will support: Discipleship Formation for Laity Creating New Places for New People Partnering with the Eurasia Area UMC District Missions You are invited to offer your time and gifts toward the 2014 Session of the Mississippi Annual Conference Mission Offering. Here is how to help:
Tell this story in your local churches and solicit contributions for this effort.
Seek out individuals who desire to make sacrificial gifts to this effort.
Speak to churches and individuals that need more information so we can increase our level of participation in the churches of our annual conference.
Pray that we will be faithful forming spiritual leaders, faith communities and connections so more disciples of Jesus Christ transform the world.

Dear Mission Friends,
Thank you so much for your recent and generous gift of $2000 that you donated to our United Methodist Advance Project 12017A from December 3, 2013 until April 14, 2014. Your contribu-tion was a blessing and is helping the college to fulfill its mission mandate of training Christian leaders to serve the churches and communities in the Holy Land.
A recent joy for our students was the 2014 Annual Student Retreat in Jordan in which 38 students and members of faculty and staff participated. The students visited Mt. Nebo, Petra, Wadi Rum and other archaeological and Biblical sites, as well as spending some time in the desert. The theme for the conference was “Thirsting for the Lord” and students were challenged to nurture their spiritual development. To know more about this, visit our website: www.bethbc.org. if you would like your email to be added to our database to receive monthly e-letters, please email Ms. Flora Al-Qassis, [email protected].
Other April events included: Strategic Planning and Development, a Shepherd Society outreach that supplied food for the needy, and a wonderful pre-Easter worship service at the Garden Tomb that brought together Palestinain and Messianic believers in Christ for a joint resurrection celebra-tion. All of these were wonderful activities that aim to share the good news of Jesus Christ. In ad-
dition, we have had visiting groups who encouraged us much by their presence and gifts. Some visitors shared in student chapel.
We desire your prayers for the following: 1. Students as they finish the semester and take their final exams; 2. Graduation on June 20th; and 3. Children’s Summer programs.
With a grateful heart, Rev. Dr. Jack Sara President, Bethlehem Bible College

Thank you in advance for volunteering for this important event in the lives of your children! Thank you for giving time, for putting aside self for others. There is no better definition of Love than when one serves. Thank you for leading and for your impact — much of which you won’t even know about. This could not happen without God’s purposing through you.
Our hope is that we won’t look back and say “Look at what we have done”,
but rather “Look at what God has done through his people.”
