The Painted Apple Moth was introduced to

New Zealand from Australia in 1999

Unfortunately MAF allowed this Moth to get out of hand. They say “If it is not eradicated it will

haveDevastating Effects on

our Forests”

We are now having to eradicate this Moth with Aerial Spraying, but this

eradication programme will cost our government $90

million out of OurTax Payers’ money.

The only reason that the Government is Eradicating

this Moth is that an Overseas investor from an Asian Country will invest

$400 million into our Forestry, but only if this Moth is Eradicated first.
