Obama vs. Romney

By: Staff Writer

We’re less than one month away from the presidential election, and the ball’s inanyone’s court. There are two main candidates running: Mitt Romney ( theRepublican candidate) and Barack Obama, (the Democratic candidate). Officially,Mr. Obama’s running partner is Joe Biden, whom will become vice presidentshould Mr. Obama win the election. Mr. Romney’s running partner is Paul Ryan.

To go more in depth with the election, the people must understand whateach candidate stands for. Last term, Mr. Obama signed a bill regarding healthcare. Basically, it ensures that every American citizen will receive health care.He also has a strong opinion on the economy. To stimulate it, he believes thecitizens who make the most money should have to pay the highest taxes.Furthermore, Barack Obama has given the American troops a chance to comehome from Iraq. However, Mr. Romney also has some ideas on how the country should berun. On environmental issues, Romney has made it clear he wishes for Americansto explore other sources of energy besides oil. The New iPhone 5By: Staff Writer It’s called “the biggest thing tohappen to the iPhone since theiPhone.” Introducing the new iPhone5. Released on September 21st, thislatest model from Apple is bothlighter and thinner than itspredecessors. Apple has alsochanged the phone’s appearance tomake it more appealing. The sizeitself has changed, as the wholephone is elongated, allowing for abigger screen. Next, the wireless 4Gnetwork is now faster and moreefficient. Along with that an A6 chiphas been added. This graphic chipallows you to view your pictures andvideos faster and clearer. The chipwill also improve battery life. Applehas upgraded the camera so thepictures and videos you take can beviewed in higher resolutions. But areall these enhancements really worththe price? The iPhone 5 now costsbetween $199 and $399 with anavailable upgrade to your mobile plan;;they are more expensive without acontract renewal. Though it has a fewmajor enhancements, I doubt manyMidland Park students will upgrade tothis latest iteration. Still, theworldwide sales are expected toshatter records. The only questionthat remains, then, is when theiPhone 6 will inevitably beannounced.

LDN Helping People with Autoimmune Diseases, Cancer, andHIV/AIDsBy: Staff Writers Basically, LDN (low dose naltrexone) helps to boost your immune system. Ihave Celiac (which is an autoimmune disease) and I take LDN;; it helps a lot. Myfather has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and he takes LDN every day. His MS started inhis foot and spread all the way up his legs and was still spreading, but now, eventhough he still isn’t able to walk, LDN has stopped his MS from spreadingthroughout his body. If he never found LDN, he might not be alive today. Ofcourse you’re asking yourself, “If LDN is so good, why haven’t I ever heard aboutit?” The reason is because LDN is an old, out of patent drug that would costmillions of dollars to get FDA approval. There are numerous, small published trialsproving how well LDN works, but no big trial. Aspirin never had a big expensivetrial, but everyone takes it for many different reasons, so there is hope for LDN. Ifyou educate your doctor on LDN and show him or her the published research todate, they can write you a prescription to try it. Most doctors write their first LDNprescription thinking that although it won't work, it won’t do any harm. They areoften amazed at the results and continue to prescribe it;; some even recommend itto their patients. It is believed that LDN raises the endorphin levels in the humanbody, which means that it enhances the body’s own self defense system. That iswhy it helps people with various autoimmune diseases, cancer, and HIV/AIDs.LDN is affordable, has very few side effects, and it works really well. Currently, Tess Steuerwald and I are trying to raise money for LDN with aregistered charity in the UK: http://www.ldnresearchtrust.org . We need a largescale clinical trial on LDN that can’t be ignored so that doctors will prescribe it on adaily basis for people who need it. We will inform you about upcoming fundraisers.Anyone who is suffering from an autoimmune disease, cancer, or HIV/AIDs shouldbe given the option to consider LDN.
