CAFOD UPDATE - As we move towards the end of the ecclesiastical year, I thought it is a good time on behalf of CAFOD for both of us to say a huge thank you to all pa- rishioners for the continued support shown during the last 12 months. You have contributed; a) Lent Fast - £ 1061.94 b) Harvest Fast - £ 1186.80 c) Lent Soup Lunches - £640 d) Pyramid Boxes - £ 90 e) X’mas cards - £ 20 f) Independent Donations £ 43 Total raised from parish to CAFOD from 01/11/17 to 31/10/18 is £ 3041.74. Govern- ment matched the contributions up to May. So our contributions were worth over £5000. Well done! Whether you have contributed with an appeal presentation, made or helped serve deli- cious Friday Soup or maybe dug deeper into your pockets than ever before, rest assured that you have made a large impact towards CAFOD'S work in ensuring the welfare, de- velopment and well-being of the poor and deprived communities of this, our world. Thank you all once again. ~ Bob Wright & Sandra Lenagan Fr Prem’s Message: As we head towards the end of yet another Liturgical Year, could I say a big thank you for all your support and prayers making the parish liturgy and life inspiring. I am sure what- ever you did; participating, serving or leading you did it all for the glory of God, diligently, to the best you could, but without negligence or doing for a wrong intention. Surely it will be pleasing to the Lord. Last week was a bit of a hectic week with the hosting of the deanery clergy meeting and lunch at Woodstock. Could I say a big thank you to all those who laboured to make the parish proud and indeed I know you wanted me to feel good above all. As you gathered, I was over the moon!! Thank you! On the same tone may I also say thank you to all those who organised parish fund raising events, including last week’s quiz evening and charitable efforts; you see below our contributions to CAFOD alone amongst many others. I am sure you would continue to do so. Could I express my appreciation!
