The Photo Club is a collaborative magazine, which centres around a simple idea; to give an excuse and reason for people from any walk of life to get some use out of their cameras.

Each month a different theme is given, members must submit one photograph, taken that month, which fits within the theme. The photo must also be accompanied by a brief description of the photograph or theme in the photographer’s own words.

OwnershipOwnership of the photos will always remain where it should, with the photographer.

In the first half of 2009, an average of 52 pubs per week closed in the UK. Thankfully, none of the ones around me have, yet. ‘In this current climate’ we are bombarded with cries of ‘recession’ and ‘credit crunch’. People are struggling. Correct me if I’m wrong, it seems to me people have always struggled though. Whether they are living the good life, keep-ing up with the Joneses or just surviving, people will always live up to if not beyond their means. I know I do.up to if not beyond their means. I know I do.

The good news is that there are some things in life that are free; walking the streets and taking photos for example. Al-though, to do that you need a camera and a computer to edit them and… oh dear.

Long gone are the innocent days when I counted my pocket money to buy penny sweets. Now I busy myself with counting the pennies and get to the local pub while it is still open. Please enjoy our free (for now!!) money issue.
