AIMS

- - To acquire the basic cultural and linguistic knowledge necessary to perform the hospitalero service.

- To recognize basic vocabulary to engage in social interactions in the field of the Camino.

- To conduct simple written tasks related to the environment of the Camino hostels.

- To identify, assess and be able to communicate in basic cross-cultural situations.

CONTENTS

- Spanish Language (20 hours): communicative language activities applied to the field of social work (expression, comprehension, interaction and oral and written mediation).

CUCULTURAL ACTIVITIES

- Guided tours to the cathedral, around the historic city centre and to the University’s historic and artistic heritage

- Visits to museums.

- Gathering held in cafés in the historic city centre.

- Receptions at the City Hall of Santiago and University

Chancellery.

- Access to University sport facilities, libraries and computer

rrooms.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation will be in the pilgrim hostels of the Xacobeo

of the Xunta de Galicia (Galician Government).It includes half

board (breakfast and lunch).

FEES

The cost of the programme 405 euros which includes:

–– 20 classroom hours.

– Cultural activities

– Board and lodging* in Santiago de Compostela and the

Camino.

– Medical and accident insurance.

– Teaching materials

– Access to USC facilities

–– Completion Diploma

– Programme and board and lodging organisation

– Opening and closing ceremonies
