Apart from Kelly and her mum, nobody knew eachother.

At one point, three-quarters through the flight, a storm started, sending feelings of fear round the plane.

Just then, in the cockpit, a huge grey cloud blocked the Pilots view of where they were flying. The pilot was justabout to contact someone to help, but the plane startedtumbling, down...

......To the surface below. Andbefore they knew it, the passengers and pilot found themselves

alone on what seemed like water. It was water! Everyone started towade through the water, trying to find land. After a

while, somebodyfound land. Somebody had found the island.

Immediately, everyone rushed over to wherethe island was. It seemed small, and looked very sandy. It was sandy, that's for sure! Everyone sat down

onto the sandy surface of the island.

Because of being young, Kelly thought that theisland was california. She wanted to make sandcastles. Derek found her a plastic cup, which onthe plane he had used to fill up with sand andmake castles with. Kelly was satisfied.

Everyone looked very untidy, unlike the waymost of them had looked when the were onthe plane.

The group decided that if they were going tobe stuck together for while, to introducethemselves.

My name is Maisie and I am 19. I am from Berkshire, and am a

student, but I work part time in Next. I was going to go to Cali’

for a break for the summer.

I’m Gavin and I can assure you that I am not 19. I’m from

Yorkshire, but I work in Swindon-don’t ask me why. I am a

detective for crime and all that.

My name is Alice and I am the writer for the Cherry pie books, for children. I am Scottish, and

was just paying a visit to California for a book signing. Oh,

and I am not 19 either!

I’m Derek and I am a business man. I was going to California to work on a new project which is oh, never mind. And I am 43 by

the way.

I am Julie harmer, and I am dedicated to my job, which is a

lawyer-I like to sort out problems. I am form london, but I work in

California. You see, I was going back to California. I went back to

london to see my brother.

My name is Anna and I design interiors. I am 33 , and I am from

Ireland. I was going to california to look at there homes, and how

they compare to ours.

Its Maxie, and I am from london. I don’t remember why I WAS goin’ to cali’ , but I’m sure it was for a

borin’ reason. I’m 15.

I am Nicola Flemming, and I am Kelly's mum. I am 21, and Kelly is 4, but very clever. I quit my job to look after Kelly, and we’re from

Blackpool.

Names Toby, and I am a bodyguard, but I cannot tell you

who for. I can not tell you any more information.

After introducing themselves, oneby one, people feel asleep.
