Dear friends,
Now that the holidays are over and you might have some time in your schedule, make a new year’s resolution to do something just for yourself: learn a new technique or new ruler, join a group of like-minded sewists, do a block of the month, or be inspired by fabrics, colors or patterns outside your comfort zone. Make your resolution come true at The Polka Dot Pincushion; we’d love to help.
Two new block of the month programs will start soon. In late February, we will begin Park Bench, a new design by Jaybird Quilts using the Hex ‘n More and Sidekick rulers. You can view the Robert Kaufman fabrics and the quilt at the shop. In March, we begin El Camino Real by Nancy Rink with fabrics by Marcus Brothers. The colorful quilt will take you on a journey through California with each pattern reflecting the flavor and history of particular missions on the six hundred mile trail called El Camino Real.
Don’t forget that February brings hearts, flowers and the promise of spring. We have a great new group to celebrate with small projects done with precuts called Table for Two, perfect for Valentine’s Day, or create a new work of art with folded flowers called Springtime Path, our featured class.
Make those resolutions and come and see us. We can make them come true.
