2 Corinthians 5

This exchange…Is necessitated because of the nature of God and of our sin,

Works because of God’s love AND Justice, and

Enables us to live life without fear and with a new righteousness

and Justice

Romans 5:8 “God demonstrates his own love for us in

this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”

Gal 3:13“Christ redeemed us from the curse of the

law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: ‘Cursed is everyone who is hung on a

tree’”

2 Cor 5:20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ,

God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled

to God.

This exchange…enables us to live life without

fear and with a new righteousness

Romans 5:9 Since we have now been justified by his

blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!

Hebrews 2:9“Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor…suffered death, so that by the grace of God

he might taste death for everyone”

Romans 8:1-4, 11 (ESV) There is therefore now no condemnation for those who

are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and

death. 3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the

likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of

the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit….11 If the Spirit of

him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in

you.

1 Pet. 2:25“He himself bore our sins in his body on the

tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been

healed”
