The Sh adow is a bonus role thatplays a little differently
thanthe others.
If incorrectly called out aplayer will nor mally removetheir
role from the game andassum e the role of the accuser.No points are
earned but theaccuser is removed from thegame.
The Shadhe Shad ow will actually gain apoint when incor rectly
called
out as he/she has no otherability. It changes th ings up
abit.
The Shadow is available in theWallet Edition of Pretense.
HOW TO PLAY
The game is played simultaneously andduring the entire game
night. There are norounds, no turns and there is no time limit.
Pllayers will look at their role card and keep itface down on
the table or out of the view ofother players.
Each role card has a secret objective such as“The King: When
another player sits in yourseat, you may take their role card.”
If at any point, the objective shown on yourrole card is
completed (for example: if you areThe King and someone sits in your
seat),reveal the card and announce theobjective that was
completed.
You will then take another player’s role cardas directed in your
objective. Your face up rolecard is worth 1 point
You immediately assume the role on the newcard, and the player
that you stole it from isout of the game.
