what has happened so far

• research: innovative, close links with own practice (admissions, supervisor, feedback, IT in active learning)

• research back into education: (PAL, progress testing, GPEx, supervisor feedback module)

• links with mClinEd (exploration of tightening the connection)

• Better marketing (digital presence, logo, sponsorship ANZAHPE, LinkedIn, etc.)

• Alignment with research institute (TBA)

on the agenda

• How to support individual people better: – RSN – peer review of manuscripts – more writing workshops – help with editing – help with ethics – tailored workshops (nVivo, research methods)

– small grants (trial with SoHS)

– distribute external consultancies

and many others:

• establish communities of practice – A physical Prideaux Centre presence – An annual ‘welcome’ event (e.g., a cocktail party in

September/October) – Retreat – The annual Research Symposium – Confirmation of Candidature Seminars – Post-graduation ceremony lunch for PhD graduates – Create a PhD student page on the Prideaux Centre website, – Create Prideaux Centre researcher profiles, with information about

capacity (e.g., supervision, research interests)

and more:

• More flexible fee structures • Mindfulness workshop • Grants and funding support • How to establish a collaboration’ • Life after the PhD – sustaining a career in

academia • Postdoctoral research tracks (possibly funded

by external consultancies)
