Mount Rushmore, in the Black Hills of South Dakota, is the site of this magnificent carving - in the side of a mountain—of four US presidents: Washington (1st), Jefferson (3rd), Theodore Roosevelt (26th), and Lincoln (16th). Both Washington and Lincoln were born in February, and so this holiday honors them.
From de pastor desk:
If our memories go to our childhood, we will remember
how our parents corrected our behaviors and through
discipline they wanted to mold our personalities to be
good people. I am convinced that true values are
formed in the family and that is where the essential
lessons of life are learned. It is not in vain that the
family is called "Domestic Church", where one
educates, prays, celebrates.
Today Jesus in the Gospel reminds us that He has not
come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. And it is
precisely in the fulfillment of the commandments from
the heart, not from the exteriority that we can please
God and do his will. At no time feeling forced or forced
direct life, on the contrary, will produce pressure and
anguish, and finally fatigue in the fulfillment of duties
leading to act with hypocrisy and falsehood. The
invitation of the Lord is to always act in good intention
and clean heart. "Blessed are the pure in heart
because they will see God." Imagine a world moved by
the force of love and sincerity of heart, unlike we would
be even in spite of our shortcomings we would be able
to recover more easily.
This week we will have our encounter of love and
friendship, since I already put it in the hands of God to
be a moment of joy and sharing. Finally, we ask all
Reading and Eucharist ministers, Ushers, Catechists,
and assistants, and even all volunteers to bring a copy
of their official identity document with address, this
requirement is mandatory, the final deadline will be
March 8, to comply with the data update of our files.
I appreciate your understanding and wish you a nice
week.
Blessings. Father Carlos Agudelo.

Gloria).

Padre Carlos Agudelo, Pastor
bonita semana.
Bendiciones. Padre Carlos Agudelo.
