Depression and the dust bowl in the 30’s. In 1929, Wyatt Earp died in his sleep at 80,

the same year of the great stock market crash

In 1930, Charles Lindbergh set the speed record for plane travel across the USA

In 1938, a company produced the first nylon product, which was a toothbrush

In 1939, the World Fair was held in New York City

About Ranching Ranching is the practice of raising grazing livestock People who own or work on ranches are called

stockgrowers or ranchers Ranches usually have many structures, such as barns,

houses, and fences. There are usually large spaces, called pastures, for the

livestock on ranches Ranches may be any size, but they are usually large Ranching is an iconic part of the Wild West, and are

usually seen in old western movies with actors like John Wayne

Ranches that cater tourists mostly are called guest ranches

healthy A horse will become bored and disconnected if

nobody is around it much There should be at least one acre of pasture per

horse Check for poisonous plants in the pasture

frequently Horses need good shelter to protect them from

storms If you stable a horse all day, it needs grooming
