THE RISING RESIDENTIAL TOWERS OF LAGOS
Post-independence the Lagos Island skyline has been gradually undergoing transformation with
the construction of high-rise structures across various parts of the city albeit mostly commercial
buildings. However, that trend soon moved into the residential sector in sub-locations like i.e.
Victoria Island and Ikoyi with the former being the birthplace of the early set of high rise residential
towers in the city such as Eko Court Complex located on Kofo Abayomi and Adeola Odeku and
the popular “One Thousand and Four Towers “or simply put “1G4 Towers” on Ozumba Mbadiwe.
The latter was built in 1979 by the Federal Government of Nigeria to serve as the official residences
of the Senate and members of the House of Representatives and was subsequently occupied by
senior federal civil servants. These two projects laid the foundations and ultimately paved the way
for future developments of high rise residential towers as private real estate developers were
inspired to replicate the model and add some touch of glamour and appeal to it. The proliferation
of both high rise residential and commercial structures is now a common sight across Lagos Island
and the skyline in this part of the city offers a panoramic view that often captures one’s breath at
the beauty of the city especially in the late hours of the day when the lights from these buildings
come to life and the city’s aerial landscape is completely transformed with dots of light that glitters
across the skyline and is reminiscent of places like New York or London. Suffice to say is that the
Lagos Island residential market is now synonymous with the term luxury as it is now accustomed
to the presence of luxurious high rise residential buildings that litter every nook and cranny of this
exclusive location and are targeted at the elite.
In this article, we shall be profiling the top ten high rise residential towers that are currently under-
construction or in the development pipeline that when completed will add more spark to the ever-
changing Lagos skyline.

1. Seattle Court
Seattle Court is a 6 floors prime residential water front development located in the diplomatic
enclave of Walter Carrington off Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island and is surrounded by foreign
consular offices. It is directly adjacent to the Indian Consulate Office. Seattle Court consists of 24
units of luxury Three (3) bedroom apartments which is made up of 20 Three (3) bedroom executive
apartments and Four (4) pent house apartments on a built-up area of 8,300 sq.m. Each apartment
unit will give future residents the chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery and views of the Lagos

2. Eden Heights
Eden Heights is a 15 floors residential development which was conceived as an ultra-luxury
apartment complex offering top class amenities and facilities that is unrivalled. It is located on
Elsie Femi Pearse off Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island. This development comprises a total of 27
apartment units that includes 18 units of Three (3) bedroom apartments and 9 units of Four (4)

3. Atlantic Business & Residential Resort
The Atlantic Resort is a mixed-use development with a mix of residential, office and retail
elements. It is located on Water Corporation Drive, Off Ligali Ayorinde, Victoria Island. The
residential tower will consist of two blocks of 12 and 16 floors respectively and 124 units of One
(1) bedroom, Two (2) bedroom apartments and Three (3) bedroom maisonettes offering
scintillating and picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean and Eko Atlantic City. Atlantic Resort is

4. Infinite Towers / 4 Bourdillon Road
The Infinite Towers or 4 Bourdillon Road is a 25 floors skyscraper of twin towers that reaches into
the Lagos skyline. It is located on one of the most prestigious addresses in Ikoyi, Bourdillon Road.
The Infinite Towers will consist of 41 Units of Three (3) and Four (4) Bedroom flats and Five (5)
bedroom duplex flats and duplex penthouses. Infinite Towers is set to raise the standards in the
construction of luxury high rise residential structures and is set to be the tallest residential building
on the shores of Lagos. The concept behind this iconic edifice by its promoters is to be the leading
and architectural design landmark in Nigeria.

5. Eko Energy Estate
Eko Energy Estate is a premium residential neighbourhood that will cover approximately 450,000
square meters and it is projected that by the full completion of Eko Energy Estate there will be
circa 5,000 apartments in 50 – 60 residential towers. It is in the North-Western corner of Eko
Atlantic City a new district directly across Victoria Island. This development has been carefully
conceived by its planners to provide an unrivaled living experience to future residents with

6. Ramzi Towers
Ramzi Towers is an 18 floors residential development designed to give 360 degree panoramic

7. Coral (Hotel Apartments)
The Coral is a 17 floors stunning, thoughtfully designed, high specification beachfront residential

The Lorenzo is a 25 floors ultra-contemporary residential development to berth in one of the

24 floors. It is sited in the centre on the harbour of Eko Atlantic City. Eko Pearl Tower comprises
of five stunning towers which include; White Pearl Tower, Black Pearl Tower, Indigo Pearl Tower,
Champagne Pearl Tower and Aqua Pearl Tower. Each tower exhibits its own identity and colour,
