Political representation and participation – some social groups disenfranchised

Inequality - wasteful, discrimination is divisive and demoralizing

Hurts economically and socially - loss of productivity, misallocation of resources e.t.c

Leads to deprivation , skewed distribution and exclusion

Increases the likelihood of social conflict – promotes crime.
