KEY FACTORS TO CONSIDER • Timing is more relaxed on the new SAT.
• Students have to answer more questions on the ACT in approximately the same amount of time as the SAT.
• SAT Essay is more difficult. • ACT Essay – 3 perspectives to consider. • SAT Essay – Analytical essay that requires review of rhetorical skills,
essay structure and command of grammar rules. • ACT Math Section
• Trigonometry and functions are tested at a higher level. • Separate Science section on the ACT
• While the new SAT will include a science passage, it remains an additional section of the ACT and there are more questions that are science-based.
