Dear Ms Lauterback

I am writing to you regarding a certified letter that I receivedfirom you dated June 17 2008 regarding the Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe Wampanoag Nation and a portion of our land that we have deeded Recognized Title to since the year 1661

What make this land (Lot 23 Plat 14 Lot 239 Plat 34 located in Cumberland RT) so important is the fact that it was gifted back to myself Wilfired W Greene Chief Eagle Hart and the Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe Wampanoag Nation on 020707

One or two parcels of our reservation in question have become a superfimd site In researching we know that much ofthe land set aside for Indians or Native Americans in this great coimtry of ours has become superfimd sites I believe that flic les^nsible parties have an obligation to clean the lands The towns cities states and the federal government should do their fiduciary duties and obligation so as all the people of Cumberland the state of Rhode Island as well as tribal members and all that would like to be able to enjoy nature and a natural environment may rome the land along the beautifiil Seeconk or Blackstone Rivers There may be something that our tribe may be able to do for economic developmenL

In regards to the allegations that have been made against me and the tribe it was never sated that we were going to build anything on the lands in question What was stared was in the fiiture a building may be erected somewhere on the land for those tribal

members to gather Permission was never granted for anyone to enter upgton anyones land except for land owned by the tribe and the land in question is indeed tribal land (Indian country) Never was permission ^ven for any excavations Debris was simply set aside such as old rail road ties dead trees broken cement which was lying along the path side

However the Providence Worcester Railroad pushed a lot of rubbish onto the tribes land with a large backhoe I had received a key for all ofthe gates fiom DEM with the exception ofthe Main Gate key which I was still awaiting Someone removed one the gates I am not intending to make any allegations I can only tell you what I believe and know I have res^iect for the people and authorities however I believe that some people would pref^ for you to believe we are people of little or no values

I would invite everyone to sit in our chxle of peace and would encourage all to work in harmony We the Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe a recognized American Indian Tribe want to cooperate with the EFA for the betterment ofthe Town of Cumberland and the State of Rhode Island as well as cm Country

Sincerely

Poetic Dream

Chief Wilfred Greene ofthe Seaconke Wampanoag Tribe dreams of their land being a pollutant free place where nature and technology go hand in hand to protect the environment while easing the burden of power costs placed on Rhode Islanders by foreign powers around the world

A place where the main RI electrical grid that runs along our land is fed by the power of nature from the wind that blows across the top of our hill tuming windmills to the pounding water of the impassible mile long section^ of the ^Seaconke River that will become a source of hydro power this will be a place that eases the power burden placed on Rhode Island businesses and homes

A place where nature thrives a kind of natural wildlife habitat and refiige where animals roam and people are free to visit explore and reflect on the beauty and power of nature and our true place in this world that we live in for such a very short time

A place where art industry and the free thinking of reasonable people are encouraged to work in harmony with the land nature and each other - bullbull

A place where recycling is a green industry and the rail lines that stretch straight for nearly a mile carry recyclable materials m and out

A place where the smoke signals of old are replaced by developing communication technology fiirther to benefit all of mankind

A place1 for our tribe the Seaconke Wampanoag

Wampanoag Dream - j

Wampanoag Dream - j
