Hi Ya'all,

Fifty-seven years ago, at just about this time, we started our journey to a place called Rohwer, Arkansas. Who even imagined that such a place existed? Rohwer? And who would have thought that, although deprived of our freedom, our lives would be so enriched by the many lifelong friends that we made? And so, the seeds of a reunion were sown. The first seed sprouted and bloomed nine years ago. Another seed has sprouted and, like the umbilical song of the mess hall gong, it is calling us back.

WELCOME TO THE SECOND ROHWER REUNION !!

It's so wonderful and gratifying to see so many ex-Rohwerites attending, meeting with "camp" friends, remembering that time way back when ••••••

It all started with a conversation about how amazing it was that a person could recognize the sound of one's own community mess hall's "call" to dinner, amongst all that clanging, ringing, gongs and bongs from all the other mess halls all at the same time. A telephone call went out to a few people from Rohwer, some from the first reunion committee and - voila! - a group of very talented, energetic and dedicated people became the Rohwer Reunion II Committee. How fortunate that there are individuals willing to take on stellar roles and people willing to devote time and energy to help do a reunion. Thanks to the committee members for making this reunion a reality.
