The selling price of commodities chili, vegetables, and meat in the market city of Jambi,

Monday, May 16, 2011, relative. There are experienced raising, reduction, and there are

also stable.I have survey the market traders around the area where I live about the prices of goods on

the market. They explain the prices of goods tend to rise and fall due to various reasons.

Here are my observations while in the market.

According to traders chili called bu Siti (41), the price of curly red chili and green chili

Monday, May 14, 2011 has increased. Price curly red chili rose to Rp13.000/kg ofRp10.000/kg and green chilli rose to Rp10.000/kg than usual Rp8.000/kg.

Rising price of chili caused by chili peppers is reduced. it because the supply flow a little

choked up while people's purchasing power increases "the amount of chili is still lesssatisfy consumer demand so much that lead to rising prices of chili" said this trader

Another trader confirmed that chili prices rise due to supply choked up so that high

demand is less fulfilled."to meet the needs of society are usually shipped from productioncenters Kerinci regency, Jambi, Curup, Bengkulu and Padang. But because

rather late entry into the market, so the stock chilli thinning" Yani said market traderwho also sells chili.

Includes broiler meat also increased the price. The price of chicken meat which

previously ranged between Rp 20 thousand to22 thousand per kilogram, on Monday, May 16 2011 increased to 25 thousand to 26

thousand per kilogram. "Chicken prices go up since a few days ago," said Tin a chicken

    seller

Various types of vegetables, fresh sea fish, freshwater fish also increased. according to avegetable seller who called the father of Toni, the price of Rp 8,000 per kg of tomatoes, potatoes Rp 7,000 per kg, carrot Rp 8,000 per kg, tempeh Rp 7000 per kg and beans Rp

6,000 per kg. As for the red onion Rp 17,000 per kg and garlic Rp 27 thousand per kg.

According to this trader, tempeh and tofu price increases resulting from rising soy pricessince January. "tofu the size of the food needs of residents in Jambi added advantage

shrunk to add" Now the price of soybeans reached Rp 7,500 per kilogram from Rp 5,500

    the previous price.

But on the contrary according to maternal exposure Tanti (45) is also a market trader,

onion prices gradually fell to Rp17.000/kg of Rp18.000/kg and cayenne pepper into

Rp12.000/kg of Rp13.000/kg.The fall in prices of red onion and cayenne pepper because the stock a lot and the current

supply from producing region increased, while consumer spending remains common

interest. "red onion and cayenne pepper and requesting stock many ordinary consumersas well" he said.
