Due to a manufacturing fault, the power supply does not have a required seal around its base and is therefore non-compliant with water igress rating requirements for prescribed swimming pool and spa equipment. Additionally, the power cords and plugs that are supplied with the units have not been certified for use with those units.

HAZARDS

The power supply unit is protected by an in-line RCD (residual-current device) as part of the power cord. In the worst case scenario, however, there is a risk of electrocution.

Cease using the product immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a replacement power supply.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: Harbor Freight Tools has received one report of a drill overheating and burning through the handle of the unit, which resulted in a consumer receiving a minor injury.

DESCRIPTION: This recall involves custom-made cellular and pleated window coverings, sold in various colors and featuring a breakaway cord stop. These honeycomb and pleated shades have a top-down and bottom-up function allowing for the raising and lowering of the shades from the top down or from the bottom up. The Hunter Douglas logo is printed on the tassels on the single cords that descend from the breakaway cord stop.


HAZARD: Some of the cords inside the breakaway cord stop were tied in a single knot which can prevent the cord stop from functioning as designed to break away. A child can become entangled in a cord loop and strangle.

SOLD EXCLUSIVELY AT: Costco Wholesale stores in the San Francisco Bay area and in the Northeast from May 2012 through October 2012 for about $35.

HAZARD: The pans tempered glass lid can crack, break or shatter, posing a laceration hazard to consumers.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: Meyer has received 97 reports of the pans glass lids breaking or shattering. No injuries have been reported.

The tents have a zippered side for putting in and taking out the child and have an inflatable air mattress that fits into a zippered pocket underneath the floor of the tent. The tents fold into a compact round shape and come with a fabric bag for storage and transport.


HAZARD: Infants and young children can roll off the edge of the inflatable air mattress, become entrapped between the mattress and the fabric sides of the tent, and suffocate.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: CPSC is aware of a death of a 5-month-old boy in December 2011 in New York, New York.

The stitching of the grab strap attached to the back of the collar of the life vest may be inadaquate (batch 1201 only). The grab strap was added as an additional feature of the vest and it is not required for flotation.

HAZARDS

If the stitching of the grab strap tears and the strap separates from the collar of the vest, the wearer may fall back into the water. (Note that the flotation of the vest is unaffected, however.)

The kit comes with various foam pieces that are used to decorate the outer pumpkin shell and has six small magnets that hold the pieces together. The product is packaged in a round, clear plastic container.


HAZARD: Magnets holding the pumpkin shell pieces together can become loose, posing an ingestion hazard to young children. If swallowed, these magnets can link together inside a child's intestines and clamp onto body tissues, causing intestinal obstructions, perforations, sepsis and death. Internal injury from magnets can pose serious lifelong health effects.

The waterslides are blue and yellow and measure about 18 feet long by 9 feet high by 5 feet wide. A Liquid Motion by Sportspower logo is printed on the side. Recalled waterslides have item number INF-1375 and UPC 687064031340 located on the packaging.


HAZARD: The warning labels on the childrens waterslide are inadequate for weight limit and fail to tell consumers never to slide head first. This poses a risk of serious injuries to consumers, including neck injuries.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: Sportspower has received one report of a man who received a neck injury after sliding down the waterslide head first.

HAZARD: The trampolines metal legs can move out of position and puncture the jumping area, posing a risk of injury, including deep, penetrating puncture wounds, cuts and bruises to children and adults on the trampoline.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: Sportspower is aware of one incident of the trampoline leg separating from the frame while in use, causing the leg to puncture through the jumping surface. No injuries have been reported.

HAZARD: Children who lean too far forward on the seat can go over the handle bar and hit the ground. This poses a fall hazard.

INCIDENTS/INJURIES: The firm has received four reports of incidents, with one incident resulting in head bumps and one resulting in a minor concussion and cuts to the gum and lip from the child's front teeth.

DEFECTS

A small number of gas/vapour chemical cartridges (Moldex 7100A and 7600A) exhibit gas/vapour "breakthrough" after shorter duration than the standard, meaning that gases will not be filtered for as long as required by the safety standard AS/NZS 1716:2012.

HAZARDS

If the defect occurs, the consumer may be exposed to hazardous chemicals.
