WJ Boake’s father, Peter’s great-grandfather, established his Shorthorn herd in 1907, Jasper Stephenson, Dan’s grandfather, began his dedication to the breed in 1918, Thomas Bishop, Wendy’s father started in 1945 and William Baehr, Stephen’s grandfather founded Baehr Acres in 1946.

We truly are a group of breeders that are “grounded in tradition”. The fact that these breeders continue to stay-the-course after all these years, and together, have an irrefutable dedication to this breed, really is something to be proud of.
