New England PTTC Newsletter  |  February 2020 Edition

We're excited to offer the first editionof our bi-monthly newsletter,featuring, regionally and nationallydeveloped trainings and tools tosupport and grow the preventionworkforce in New England. The Six Elements of Effective Coalitions

This resource, developed by the PTTC network, is the first installment in aseries, Key Elements of Effective Coalitions. The goal of this series is toprovide information on key elements that research suggests are critical forcoalitions to operate effectively and increase their impact on substance misuseand its consequences for individuals and communities. PTTC Marijuana Education Toolkit Launchand Listening Session (recorded webinar)

The nationwide PTTC Network Marijuana Risk Work Group was convened todevelop marijuana prevention technical assistance products to assist the nation's

workforce in their very important and urgent marijuana prevention work.

It is important for the prevention community to know and understand the risksrelated to vaping. The New England PTTC has created this page to bringtogether the latest health advisories from the CDC, the Surgeon General'soffice, and other federal partners, as well as the health departments of the sixNew England states. We have also posted some helpful information resourcesand vaping prevention toolkits from each of the six New England states. CADCA Forum 2020

Our prevention team enjoyed attending the CADCA Forum, earlier thismonth. The forum was a great learning experience and offered the chance toconnect and network with prevention coalitions and prevention professionalsfrom New England and around the country.
