DEAR NEIGHBOR,

Your safety continues to be our fi rst priority. We are working around-the-clock to safely stop the fl ow of leaking gas at the Aliso Canyon Storage Facility. We will continue to provide updates as we move forward as well as enhancements we’re making to reduce the burden on everyone affected by this situation.

In this week’s Community Bulletin you will fi nd information on:

• School transportation • Air purifi cation and weatherization options• A simplifi ed reimbursement process• Operations update

OPERATIONS UPDATE We continue to make measurable progress on our efforts to drill the relief well. We are in the fourth of fi ve phases of relief well operations. Once the well is intercepted, heavy mud and fl uids will be pumped into the leaking well to stop the fl ow of gas from the reservoir and permanently seal and abandon the well. The work remains on schedule to be in position to stop the leak in the late-February-to-late-March timeframe. As of January 1 1, we have completed 10 ranging runs and successfully drilled to a depth of approximately 7,197 feet.

AIR PURIFICATION & WEATHERIZATION OPTIONS FOR YOUR HOMEAs of January 7, 2016, SoCalGas has made the process of getting a plug-in air purifi er easier by no longer requiring pre-approvals. We have procured a large number of plug-in air purifi cation units and will provide these to residents experiencing odors in the Porter Ranch Community.

Residents may choose either of the following Air Purifi cation options:

• In-Duct Air Purifi er. SoCalGas is working with a licensed Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) contractor to provide whole-house air purifi cation.

• Plug-In Portable Air Purifi ers. SoCalGas will deliver ARB-Certifi ed plug-in portable air purifi cation units that incorporate activated carbon/charcoal fi lters to remove the natural gas odorant from your home.

• Weatherization. Porter Ranch residents may ask to have weatherization services installed in their homes. We will send a licensed contractor to inspect your home for possible air infi ltration around exterior doors, windows and attic access.

If you are interested in any of these options please visit AlisoUpdates.com under Need Assistance.
