THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE FAIRPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY WAS HELD ON TUESDAY, JUNE 23, 2015. PRESENT OTHERS Jim Donahue Betsy Gilbert Belinda O’Brien Lin Macholz Suzanne Stockman Tori Reilly Beth White Pat Rapp The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Suzanne Stockman, President. Mrs. Stockman noted that Mr. Zedick was officially excused from the meeting. AGENDA Mrs. Stockman added three items to the agenda: Committee assignments Board representation for reopening committee Signage NEW BUSINESS A motion was made by Jim Donahue and seconded by Belinda O’Brien to approve the following furniture proposals, as per the Shelving and Furniture Authorization of May 26, 2015, cumulative amount not to exceed $647,000. KI $149,907.28 State Contract # PC66295 Agati $ 27,104.16 State Contract # PC63313 David Edward $ 15,397.00 State Contract # PC66247 Cabot Wrenn $ 15,092.00 State Contract # PC66446 Kusch $ 24,457.68 State Contract # PC66468 MJ Industries* $226,969.88 State Contract # PC66259 *MJ Industries contract is a modification to the existing May 26, 2015 proposal, with a reduction in cost in the amount of -$2,200.00. (See attachments.) Motion carried 4-0. The Board reviewed payments the school district made against contract payments for May 2015. Because the school district is carrying the bond for the renovation project, these payments do not go through the normal process. A motion was made by Jim Donahue and seconded by Beth White to authorize Suzanne Stockman to sign the June 2015 certificates for payment for the four prime contractors: Building Innovation Group, EastCoast Electric, Nairy Mechanical, and Pipitone Enterprises. (See attachments.) Motion carried 4-0.

A motion was made by Beth White and seconded by Belinda O’Brien to approve the wireless network proposal from Greenlight Networks. (See attachment.) Motion carried 4-0. The Envisionware Library Document Station proposal was tabled until the July 2015 meeting. Mrs. Stockman passed out Committee Assignments. (See attachment.) The Library will have a grand reopening event at the end of September. Mrs. Stockman and Mrs. O’Brien will be on the committee. The Board discussed signage for the parking lot entrance of the library.
