DESCRIPTION
The tone of Cape May after the summer months is dark and dreary. When the tourists leave and the town is no longer seeing a boom in it’s industries, everything shuts down. Even the locals that live there do not work or really do much of anything. It’s a town of the past, and rarely would you see this in any other town in the United States. This photo essay is meant to evoke emotions of what looks like a true present day ghost town. It’s meaning is to convey the sadness and loneliness that occurs there in between the months of family vacations, the sun and summertime. It’s a town that is forgotten about in the offseason, and this is what the true spirit of Cape May really looks like to the people who inhabit it.
