DearCompassFriends,Ican’tbelievethatmyyearofbeingPresidentisalmostover.Ithasbeenanhonorandaprivilegetobeapartofsuchatalentedgroupofexceptionalwomen.Icouldnothavedonethisyear’sworkwithoutagroupofwonderfulwomen...whosupportedme...andalwayssaidyeswheneverIneededanything:YOURCOMPASSBOARD.TheyarebyfarthemosthardworkingandcooperativegroupwithwhomIhaveeverworked.Theymademyjobalmosteffortless.Therehavebeenafewglitches(asthereareeveryyear)butwelearnfromthoseexperiencesandwilldobetternextyear.Ithasbeenalearningcurveforme,butasImovethroughlife,Iappreciateanythingthatenrichesmyexperienceandhelpsmegrow.Thankyoufortheopportunitytobeyourpresident.Ithasbeenapleasuretoworkforsomethingthathasgivenmesomuch.

ThemeetingwascalledtoorderbyPresidentHildyCoxat11:30a.m.Guestsandnewmemberswereintroduced.PresidentCoxpresentedtheslateofofficersforthe2018-19year.Anewpositionhasbeenaddedtotheboard,NewMembers&Greeters,whichwasinadvertentlyleftofftheroster.Thepositionhasbeenfilledbyco-chairsSusieSchneiderandKathyCousineau.ThepositionsofNewsletterandWaysandMeansarestillvacant.KathyPipersaidshecoulddothelayoutofthenewsletterifsomeoneelsecouldsolicitthearticles.Hildywilldiscussthiswithherafterthemeetingandwassurethatcouldbearranged.TherewerenovolunteersforWaysandMeans.ThePhilanthropydrawingwasheldandprizeswerewonbyPattyMcCartyandMaureenBoutz.Nearly$1,100hasbeendonatedtodate.
Therewerenoreportsfrominterestgroupsandtherewasnooldbusiness.
The50/50drawingwasheldand$56.50waswonbyanewmember.Thedrawingwasheldforcenterpieceswhichwerebeautifulhandpaintedvasesofflowers.
ThescheduledprogramwasapresentationbyRobCurley,editorofThe Spokesman Review,buthewasunableatthelastminutetoattend.Instead,presentationsweremadebythosewhonominatedcharitiesfornextyear’sphilanthropy.Themembershipwasaskedtovotefortheirtopthreechoices.Theboardwillreviewtheresultsofthevote,andthemembershipwillvoteattheJunemeetingtochoosethewinner.

sold,thebiggerthecheckpresentedtothisfineandtalentedgroupofyoungpeople.
TicketsthatyoubuywillgointothefinaldrawingforgiftcardprizesonJune5th.
