On 8th May 2014 we lost our dear son Kieran (Lally).We as a family endured five long hard days hoping and willing he wouldreturn but to no avail, On Monday 12th a Facebook request went out for asearch around Stone in the hope of finding Kieran (Lally). Around 250people turned up and helped us.

Yesterday 22nd May 2014 we had the funeral of our son at St MichaelsChurch, Stone. Approximately 600 people attended and paid their re-spects. Afterwards we had a celebration of Kieran's life at The Mill in Stoneand after at the Red Lion because that is what Kieran would have wanted.We did him proud.

My main reason for this letter is to express our sincere thanks to people ofStone and surrounding areas for all help and support over the last 2 weeks.Friends, family, local businesses and even people who just care havehelped us in all sorts of ways. It has been phenomenal and that is nounderstatement.

We decided to raise funds for a memorial bench by the canal any surplusgoing to the Epilepsy society. In less than 24 hours we were up £1200!! Bythat Friday we were up to over £3500!!!

I am a manager at Smarty’s day nursery. I would like to thank all theparents and staff who have sent donations and gifts. A special thanks toJanet Skelton, proprietor of Smarty’s and dear family friend for herundivided attention, kindness, advice and just being there for us all.

Once again we thank the people of Stone and surrounding areas for theirkindness and generosity in our time of need. Stone is a good place andwhen times are tough Stone people are there for you.
