Knowledge With Wisdom

Knowledge is what you know, wisdom is the capacity to judge .

Wisdom is knowing what to know, how much and

what to do with it.

Knowledge is obtained, wisdom is developed.

23. And she, in whose house he was, sought to seduce him. She closed the doors and said, "Come, you." He said, "[I seek] the refuge of

Allah.

• Seduction facts and figures

Page 11: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

Seduction Statistics• Women who read romance novels are more easily seduced than those women who don't, and have sex twice as often, a study found.• Scientists from Indiana University found that when men were shown images of women making an advance, they tended to see sexual cues as being merely friendly, and saw friendly gestures as showing sexual interest.

Is He/She Flirting?

Five signs of

someone flirting:

Their eyes will flit around your face

and body

They begin to mirror your

actions

They raise their eyebrows when they first meet

you (ever so slightly) Their feet and

hands will point towards you

subconsciously

Their pupil size and blink rate

increases.

ه ال يفلح الظالمون ي أحسن مثواي إن ه رب  إن23 Contd. Indeed, he is my master, who has made good my residence. Indeed, wrongdoers will not

succeed."

• Link between gratitude and avoiding temptations

Page 14: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

Avoiding Temptations• Yusuf A.S remembered the goodness of his master and would not think of sinning against him.• When we sin, we let someone down (a human), and we essentially disregard all of Allah’s blessings when we can’t even obey Him in return for all of those.• When tempted to do wrong, think:

– Who am I letting down?– My parents?– My teachers?– My friends?– ALLAH?

would have inclined to her had he not seen the proof of his Lord. And thus [it was] that We should avert from him evil

and immorality. Indeed, he was of Our chosen servants .

Page 16: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

وء والفحشاء السIn today’s world, it is common to lose one’s virginity by age

16.

An American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers survey recently showed that in the last 12 months, Internet-

related issues caused 62% of all divorce cases .

Studies show that over 80% of marriages in the U.S. have an unfaithful partner.

Sex is popular. Many television shows represent sex as fun and exciting without any repercussions.

Page 17: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

المخلصين

Avoid evil

Avoid immorality

Become a mukhlis

Do good deeds

purely for Allah

Good deeds form chains!

30 .And women in the city said, "The wife of al-'Azeez is seeking to seduce her slave boy; he has impassioned her

with love. Indeed, we see her [to be] in clear error ".

• The psychology of scandals

Page 23: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

Psychology of Scandals

Scandal: A publicized incident that brings about disgrace or offends the moral sensibilities of society

Society indulges in controversies

Some get involved in intrigues unintentionally.

Sometimes, they are simply victims of poor judgment, indiscretion or lack of social skills.

Addiction to fame

Page 24: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

How does this obsession with scandal affect the general public?

Media is a powerful teacher of values.

Show biz culture is characterized by sensuality, manipulation and, sadly at times, lack of morality.

If the values taught on media are garbage, then we are the

trash cans.

Page 25: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

31. So when she heard of their scheming, she sent for them and prepared for them a banquet and gave each one of them a knife and said [to Joseph], "Come out before them." And when they saw him, they greatly admired him and cut their hands

and said, "Perfect is Allah! This is not a man; this is none but a noble angel."

ليسجنن وليكونا من الصاغرين 32. She said, "That is the one about whom you blamed me. And I certainly sought to seduce him, but he firmly refused; and if he will not do what I order him, he will surely be imprisoned and will be of those debased."

• Comments on the gathering of the women• Insincerity of the woman’s “love”

Page 27: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

The Women’s GatheringThe meeting:

Meeting of social elites of the time

They condemned the woman instead of the evil deed – typical mentality of scandal-mongerers

Shamelessness – open admittance of evil deed and desires

Similarities to our society:

“Progressive” thinking of today

Even parents encourage intermingling of sexes

We comdemn people but not evil deeds

We’re proud of our sins too

Gossip and scandal loving society

It was 4000 years ago, yet all the evil trends are the same! Why?Because Shaitan is the same!

Page 28: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

Insincere Love

Love that is based only on pleasure or lust is quick to flare and quick to die.

NEVER sacrifice your self-respect to a claimant of such insincere love! See through it.

The only REAL love is love based on virtue or love for Allah’s sake

Love for Allah’s sake is simple to test: it’s for Allah’s sake if the time spent together is spent in useful speech or activity and brings you closer to Allah!

Page 29: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

الجاهلين33. He said, "My Lord, prison is more to my liking than that to which they invite me. And if You do not avert from me their plan, I might incline toward them and

[thus] be of the ignorant."

• People call it “modern thinking” – Prophets call it “being of the ignorant”

Page 30: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

34. So his Lord responded to him and averted from him their plan. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

time.

• Life is a prison for the believer

Page 31: The Story of Prophet Yusuf A.S Part II

This Life is a Prison for a Momin

“The world is the believer’s prison and the disbeliever’s Paradise”(al-dunya sijn al-mu’min wa jannah al-kafir)(Muslim and Tirmidhi )
