Citation preview

The Sun Runner Magazine..... has been recognized as “Business of the Year,” by the Basin Wide Foundation and a “cultural icon” by members of the Twentynine Palms City Coun-cil. The magazine’s publisher/executive editor, Steve Brown, is an internationally published, award-winning career journalist. But more importantly, over our 17 years of publishing, The Sun Runner has been increasingly recognized as the regional voice of the “real” desert, first mentioned by Desert magazine publisher, Randall Henderson, back in 1937.

Our Readers.....The Sun Runner Magazine is distributed free, so we reach readers expensive “exclusive” magazines don’t touch - including most desert residents who aren’t part of any exclusive clique, and desert visi-tors like the 1.3 annual visitors to Joshua Tree National Park.

We’re not an “exclusive” publication. We’re not snobby. We like to include people, not leave them on the outside looking in. Take a look around your business or organization. If the vast majority of your customers or donors only come from a small wealthy elite, and you have little interest in reaching the rest of the desert community, we may not be the publication for you. But if you want to reach desert readers and visitors who trend toward being more highly educated, with a higher-than-average dispos-able income, who enjoy both the natural beauty of the desert and the finer things in life, then we’re a great fit and we invite you to partner with us.

Since we distribute strategically across the Joshua Tree Gateway Communities, the Coachella Valley, across the desert and Southern California, we reach readers that the Coachella Valley and other des-ert media doesn’t, and we reach them as an established magazine with an excellent reputation, not a throwaway shopper or paper. Being a magazine, with more engaging editorial content, readers keep and share our publication more than other print media products. Magazines, including those offered for free, have a high readership per copy than newspapers, with a greater shelf life, giving you, the advertiser, more exposure, and more value.
