The Grapevine MARCH, 2021 Cove Spring Church ~ 5705 Walnut Grove Road ~ Troy, Ohio ~937-214-4416 ~ Pastor Greg Morrow 1 Faithfully, Pastor Greg Morrow If you are not able to join us in person for our Sunday Worship Service, please join us remotely on the Cove Spring Facebook page for a LIVE PRESENTATION at 9:30am each Sunday morning. The Reality of the Blood of Christ Before you read the rest of this article I want you to take a moment and ask yourself this question “how is the blood of Jesus a reality in my life? What did you come up with? If you had a hard time do not be discouraged. One of the great joys of life with Jesus is learning who He is, and how what He has done can be a reality in our lives. The good news is that the Bible has much to say about the blood of Jesus. let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, (Ephesians 2:13). Have you ever wondered if you are good enough for God? Have you ever felt like not praying because you messed up again? I know I have. The reality is that we can come close to God because of the blood of Christ. It is his blood not our performance that has made the way into the presence of God. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot (1 Peter 1:18-19). Do you ever struggle with wondering if your life has purpose or with your personal worth? You were redeemed through the precious blood of Christ. The Christian leader Ignatius who was martyred for his faith in AD 110 called the blood of Christ “the blood of God.” There is nothing more precious that the blood of Christ and it is this blood that brought about your redemption. This month my prayer is that your heart and mind will be opened more fully the reality of the blood of Jesus.
