Love Brings People Together - Charity Brings Christians TogetherMarch 7, 2021The Third Sunday of Lent
Jesus took Peter, James and John and led them up a high mountain apart by themselves. And he was transfigured
before them, and his clothes became dazzling white, such as no fuller on earth could bleach them.
- Mk 9:2-3

At last Friday’s Fabulous Fish Fry we served multiple orders to 93 cars and received several hundred dollars in donations. Donations are
not necessary but are very much appreciated during these pandemic times.
Thank you and the best to you!
The church is open for scheduled Masses and personal visits from 7:00am to 12noon Monday through Friday. We welcome you and hope you will attend Mass and visit. We ask that you follow the established guidelines to prevent the spread of Coronavirus which are: 1. Practice Social Distancing - keep at least 6 feet apart from others when you find a seat and during
Communion. We have plenty of room to socially distance and if it becomes necessary, more Masses will be added.
2. Face Masks must be worn at all times in respect for others - bring your own mask. 3. Sanitize your hands when you enter and leave the church. Sanitizer will be provided. 4. Families may sit together. 5. Please take a bulletin on your way out of church, rather than on your way in. 6. Your donations and offertory envelopes can be dropped off before or after Mass in one of the
collection boxes located throughout the church. 7. The church is fully sanitized with a mist twice a week, and after each Mass.

Pornography is one of the leading causes of addictions, abuse, adultery, divorce, and even human trafficking: it is, in short, a pervasive evil inflicting grave wounds on our families. Pornography creates unsafe environments for children and confuses others about attitudes towards sex and marriage. It is a moral issue. For this reason, March 7 has been designated as Safe Haven Sunday in the Diocese of Venice. This day for awareness will give an opportunity to address the harmfulness of pornography in marriages, families, and culture, while providing helpful resources for all.
Detailed information about the implementation of this program will be shared in the coming weeks through your Parishes. If you have any questions, please contact Carrie Harkey, Diocesan Coordinator of Family Life at [email protected] or 941-484-9543.

Youth Group met last Sunday in Iona Hall to talk about forgiveness. During Lent this common theme led them to discuss if there are “unforgivable” sins and how we can love like Jesus.
They played the game "Lava" and thought if the lava on the floor was sin, how were the stepping stones like God?
The youth also contemplated an Examination of Conscience, wrote down their sins, and with Father Lorenzo's help, they burned them in a beautiful service. It was a blessed night.
