The Tiger who came to Tea Over the next two weeks we thought it would be nice to have some activities focussed on the story The Tiger who came to Tea. Please do not feel that you have to do everything on this list. You know your child best and what works for them. (Anything marked with ‘R’ are activities aimed more so at Reception) Enjoy reading/discuss the story, The Tiger who came to Tea. Help your grown up make lunch e.g. sandwiches, spreading the butter, cutting into squares. Write a list of instructions for making cakes/sandwiches (R) Have a go at writing a shopping list using your phonic skills.     Below is a list of ideas for you to do with your children. Please do not feel that you

    have to do everything on this list. You know your child best and what works for them.

    (Anything marked with ‘R’ are activities aimed more so at Reception)

    • Enjoy reading/discuss the story, The Tiger who came to Tea.

    • Help your grown up make lunch e.g. sandwiches, spreading the butter,

    cutting into squares.

    • Draw a picture of your favourite animal.

    and describe shapes used.

    • If you have any toy animals place them outside on a drive/patio and draw

    around their shadows with chalk.

    • Get creative and make animal masks
