The many people whose contributions make this award possible do so to honor the memory of the man for whom it is named. Tom loved Roseburg High athletics and those who participated in the program. It is the goal of this scholarship to recognize the efforts of the athletes of Roseburg High School in providing this assistance in the furthering of their academic endeavors. This scholarship will be awarded anually to a graduating senior at Roseburg High School who has been an active participant throughout his or her high school years in the athletic program. It is an award for the period of one year for attendance at any college or university within Oregon. The amount of the award is $500. In awarding this scholarship the committee shall consider academic record, need and ultimate college goals. Application deadline: noon on April 12, 2019 in the RHS Career Center. The financial contribution of the the applicant toward fulfillment of his/her educational plans is an important consideration in awarding this scholarship. The committee honors those students whose careful planning have been a consideration for future college attendance. If the dollar amount is undetermined, a description may be included.
