Abstract
Planning
What are types research paper?
Determine if you are ready to publish
You should consider publishing if you have information that advances understanding in a specific research field
What type of manuscript are you planning?
Types of manuscript
Original Research Articles
• Standard for disseminating completed research findings
• Typically 8-10 pages, 5 figures, 25 references
• Draft and submit the paper to appropriate journal
• Good way to build a scientific research career
Short Communications
• • Quick and early communications of significant, original advances.
• • Much shorter than full articles.
Review Papers
• Critical synthesis of a specific research topic
• Typically 10+ pages, 5+ figures, 80 references
• Typically solicited by journal editors
• Good way to consolidate a scientific research career

Grammar checkers Software
• Web Browser extensions like Grammarly and Qordoba,
• Desktop applications like Ginger,
• Free and Open-Source software like Language Tool,
• Text editor plugins like those available from WebSpellCheckerSoftware
• There were a large number of different word processing programs available at that time, like Microsoft word
• Etc.
Editor Comments
'Grammarly' is poor quality and not acceptable (some journal editor comment).

What is plagiarism?
Is copying just a sentence or two without crediting a source plagiarism?
Is it OK to paraphrase what another has written without correctly citing the author?
Is it OK to use information or ideas without crediting the source if the exact words are not used?
Can you use parts of a friend's paper as your own if he or she says it's OK?
Types of Ethic Cases

Why do we use quotes, paraphrases, and summaries?
• To provide support for claims or add credibility to your writing
• To refer to work that leads up to the work you are now doing
• To give examples of several points of view on a subject
• To highlight a particularly striking phrase, sentence, or passage by quoting the original
• To expand the breadth or depth of your writing
Original Passage:
Students frequently overuse direct quotation in taking notes, and as a result they overuse quotations in the final [research] paper. Probably only about 10% of your final manuscript should appear as directly quoted matter. Therefore, you should strive to limit the amount of exact transcribing of source material while taking notes.
Lester, James D. Writing Research Papers. 2nd ed. (1976): 4647.
A Legitimate Paraphrase:
In research papers students often quote excessively, failing to keep quoted material down to a desirable level. Since the problem usually originates during note taking, it is essential to minimize the material recorded verbatim (Lester 4647).
A Plagiarized Version:
Students often use too many direct quotations when they take notes, resulting in too many of them in the final research paper. In fact, probably only about 10% of the final copy should consist of directly quoted material. So it is important to limit the amount of source material copied while taking notes.
An Acceptable Summary:
Students should take just a few notes in direct
quotation from sources to help minimize the
amount of quoted material in a research paper
(Lester 4647).
Plagiarism Checkers
Plagiarism detection or content similarity detection is the process of locating instances of plagiarism and/or copyright infringement within a work or document. The widespread use of computers and the advent of the Internet have made it easier to plagiarize the work of others.

SJR
The SJR indicator is a very sophisticated indicator that is much more complex to calculate and understand than the Impact Factor. Several variables must be taken into account to calculate the SJR. There are two important variables that we cannot leave out:
• The number of citations is one of those variables but not the only one because it is weighted by the citations received and where the journal is cited in.
• It is different if the citations come from highly-cited Journals or not. Imagine that these 5 quotes appear in the most cited Journals. That part of the calculation is no longer worth 5, it is worth much more. This variable is called “authority principle”. It is important to be cited, but most important is where you are cited.
• The second variable is the thematic category’s distribution. If most of the journals categorized in X thematic category are cited by lowly-cited journals, the quartile of a journal cited in highly-cited journals will be better than the other ones.

Conclusion
When the research report ready, it is time to submit it for publication consideration or for peer-review for a potential journal. It is important for researcher to read and follow carefully prescribed editorial guidelines of publication that you are submitting it to. Not following guidelines could
prove detrimental — rejection of otherwise solid research work.
Good Luck
