The match was played at Sam Rayburn Mid- dle School in Bryan on Thursday, Sept. 17. Coach Sandra Gilland said, “Despite a light- ning and rain delay, we were able to get the match finished.” Posting wins against Cameron Yoe were: * Boys Singles: Ad- olfo Gaucin beat Nolan Brashear 6-3, 6-1; Isaac Salazar defeated Kin- caid Callahan 6-3, 6-3; Nico Lucero beat Ma- rino Cardona 6-2, 4-6, 10-3; Connor Hughson beat Carter Pettit 4-6,6- 3, 10-8; and Alejandro Zapata defeated Colby Green 8-3. * Girls Singles: Neva Cravens beat Alexis Mendoza 6-0, 6-0; Aletza Torres beat Kay- la Whitmire 6-2, 6-2; Karly Fritsche defeated Sydney Vaculin 8-5; and Tilly Hicks beat Courtney Ortiz 7-6(7- 4), 6-0. * Boys Doubles: Gaucin and Lucero de- feated Brashear and Cardona 6-2, 6-3; Sala- zar and Chapman beat Munoz and Barton 7-5, 6-3; and Hughson and Zapata won 6-4, 4-6, 10-7. * Girls Doubles: Cra- vens and Torres won 6-0, 6-0; Horan and Horan beat Vaculin and Vaculin 6-4, 4-6, 10-7; and Fritsche and Brock defeated Ortiz and Bor- gas 6-7(7-9), 6-3, 10-3.
