1. Action Learning: Learn by doing

Action learning is a fun and dynamic methodology to develop skills outside the classroom. Adults retain learning points at a much higher rate (up to 90%) when they are involved in learn-by-doing activities. Small group work is used to maximize opportunity for participants to put skills into practice.

2. Facilitated Discussion: Everybody's voice is heard

Facilitated discussion is an essential part of the learning cycle. Following an activity, time is allocated to reflect and talk about what just happened. This processing of the activity increases understanding. Facilitation is a professional skill that takes time to develop through

practical experience and systematic training on specific competencies. TEAMSWORK's facilitated discussions are designed by one of only two Certified Professional Facilitators in Shanghai.

3. Video Analysis & Replay: Seeing things as they really are

Presentations are video taped and then evaluated using a checklist. Specific strengths are praised and areas for improvement identified. This method increases awareness for speaking style and improves understanding of the impact that the presenter has on the audience.

4. Constructive Feedback: Balancing positive and the negative

Throughout the workshop, we use a three step evaluation process: self-evaluation, peer feedback and further insights from your coach. This specific feedback helps fast and lasting improvement.

5. VAK Learning Styles: Visual, auditory, kinesthetic

VAK learning styles ensures that all major learning styles are used. The three main learning types of visual, auditory and kinesthetic are designed into activities and debriefs so that learning is enhanced. We look for the fun in learning. And we find ways to learn through fun. Every activity is practical,

clear, lively and humorous and uses an active, fun and experiential approach to learning.

Rebecca has years of experience facilitating soft skills workshop. As a well-known event

host, workshop leader and public speaker, Rebecca is frequently invited to speak to and train groups on how to become better presenters. Clients she has served include Siemens, KMPG, SC Johnson, Rohm And Haas, Dell, Hewitt, American Chamber of Commerce, British Chamber of Commerce, etc.

Certified Assessor & Facilitator

She is a certified assessor for Chinese Type Assessment, which is the Chinese equivalence to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). She also received a professional train-the-trainer program on Facilitation Skills run by Dr. Roger Greenaway from the United Kingdom.

Community Service Leader

Rebecca is the 2009-2010 District Governor for Toastmasters in China, overseeing the overall operation for 2500 members and driving continuous growth of the organization in China. Toastmasters is an international not-for-profit organization committed to developing communication, public speaking and leadership skills.

Cross cultural understanding

Rebecca has a Master degree in English Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Shanghai Jiaotong University. She has a deep understanding of Chinese and Western cultures.

Leadership Experiences:Yingdan now is serving as Toastmasters International Region Advisor for China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and India districts. Her main responsibilities include: mentoring district leaders in understanding how to successfully lead district operations, how to resolve district leader concerns, challenges, conflicts and other substantive issues; and facilitating district leader training at the International Convention and at region mid-year training.

Yingdan served as Toastmasters International Greater China District Governor 2010-2011, leading around 200 Toastmasters clubs in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. She was responsible for setting overall strategies, budgeting and daily operation. Under her leadership, China Toastmasters ranked world No.3 among over 80 districts in Toastmasters International.

Yingdan joined Toastmasters from Mar. 2004. Since then, she shouldered different leadership responsibilities at club and district level to help grow Toastmasters in China. In the past few years, Yingdan has conducted over 100 communication and leadership trainings for officers and members in over 15 cities in mainland China, HK and Macau.
